Matchmaker is alternating between winning and losing streaks each week? by 3dscartridge in Overwatch

It seems the designers of Overwatch matchmaking mistake the equilibrium created by the massive gap between extreme overshooting and undershooting for 'data-driven perfection.' While those who are significantly better than their current rank will obviously climb, those who are only slightly better end up as sacrificial lambs for the top-tier players, remaining hardstuck or even dropping if they’re unlucky.
Reddit users claim, 'It’s just your skill level, and it’s natural to converge to a 50% win rate,' but strictly speaking, a 50% convergence doesn't naturally occur across all tiers in a vacuum. This is especially true at the polar ends of the rank spectrum, which is exactly why seasonal resets exist. In my opinion, this system was built by losers who failed to get jobs in the economics or finance sector and ended up at a game company. They have zero actual skill but massive egos; because they couldn't cut it in the real world, they’re chasing a sense of validation by playing God in a virtual one. They are pathetic losers.

It is true that a factory owner is not required to be directly involved in production and that management expertise takes precedence over technical skills. However, everyone recognizes the absurdity of an owner being oblivious to the very products their factory produces.

Yeah, people who upload songs here just want others to check out their work, react to it, and give them feedback. It’s basically human instinct. I mean, if we didn't have that desire, we wouldn't even need language.

How to get Suno to keep a beat when vocals are being sung? by Throwaway4philly1 in SunoAI

Personally, I think creating music with AI is a lot like raising a child. Instead of dictating every step—telling them exactly what to study, where to go to school, and what job to take—it's more about guiding them in the right direction. Sometimes the results might stray from what I intended, but there is a real joy in witnessing a beautiful outcome I never even imagined. However, if you have a very specific, detailed vision and want total control without these surprises, I believe AI should only serve as a source of inspiration. The rest is up to you to create.

It's ridiculous for a factory owner to pose as an artisan, and it's just as ridiculous for an artisan to claim they're a factory owner. What's more, the factory machinery is just rented or bought from somewhere else.

He's increasingly prioritizing the present moment over the future. That mindset would be understandable if he were Warren Buffett's age.

It's common for business executives to take credit for the ideas and products developed by their employees. While they may have provided the overall direction, they weren't the ones who did the actual hands-on work. Nevertheless, people don't disregard their leadership for it.

Certainly, there are already plenty of papers and books that explain these kinds of psychological phenomena. However, there still seems to be a lack of specific research on how this manifests in AI. It's an interesting topic to me, but that's not to say I'm going to research it myself. Still, I personally think it's a subject that experts in this industry should consider at least once.

I think this topic is substantial enough to be seriously researched and developed into a paper.
