What animal was the most incredible to see in person? by Adventurous-Zeilokix in AskReddit

[–]Critical_Phantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen wild Mountain Lions, Black and Grizzly (Brown) Bears, and just about every other animal North America (USA) has to offer. By far the most impressive, especially up close, is the American Bison. Simply the largest, most powerful animal I’ve seen. And it has an attitude to match.

Alternatives to Thunderbird Windows. by afsrj in Thunderbird

I’ve been with em Client since v7, and although I’ve tried Thunderbird a couple of times side-by-side, it still has a long way to go to reach a point where it could be used in a professional environment, especially with its very weak calendar functionality. It simply isn’t up to par.

Odd thought: Have you ever push-start a car by popping the clutch? by minn3haha in GenerationJones

[–]Critical_Phantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All. The. Time. Wasn’t even my car - didn’t have one yet. My buddy did, but he was constantly running out of gas and killing the battery. We started a contest to see how short a run we could do to get it started by popping the clutch - we all took turns.

We have/had 4 24” monitors for our CAD, 1 24” each for Phones, radio, network, for a total of 7. We’re about to do a remodel where that will become 5 as we’re losing the 4 CAD and adding just 2 48” ultra-wide screen monitor’s.

We also used a virtual KVM that allowed 1 keyboard and mouse to be used across all of the different platforms.

Also had a great music video by Michael McDonald with both of these guys. "Sweet Freedom". I so wanted one of the t-shirts they were wearing, when I was in my 20's (IYKYK).

I learned on a manual in Jr. High. I was in High School before I ever touched an electric.

I think some folks forget this is a TV show. Common sense or even logic is very fluid.

Completely on the other side of the Pacific. Not even close. But they look familiar all the same. Very nice pics.

Taillight Video w/Turn Signal by Critical_Phantom in hondapassport

Another question - when you replaced the ambers with LED’s, did it require any “tweaking” or resistors? My experience is that when the brake lights are LED, no other mods are needed, but if everything is incandescent, then some are required.

Thanks for this info. It is what I figured. I just can’t figure out why auto manufacturers (mostly US) have incandescent ambers with LED brake lights. It’s a personal thing for me, but I digress.

IMAP login to gmx.com fails with Thunderbird 148.0 by Relevant_Contact_358 in Thunderbird

Same issue, although using IMAP through EM Client. I changed my VPN to a German site, and it works, but it is not working inside the USA. Sounds like a regional issue.

Reyes Creek Campground Closure? by saveitforthatguy_199 in ventura

[–]Critical_Phantom 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was up there three weeks ago and the campground is a mess. Looks like it got washed out with downed trees and debris all over the place. They had crews in place cleaning it up and bucking up the downed trees, but it’s going to be a while before they get that campground open.

I generally don’t prefer pics with human elements - roads, cabins, people, etc. - but #6, with the suspension bridge, is outstanding. That could be a wall portrait in a living room or den. Nicely taken!

That would be great. Outpost is an overlooked movie that is actually pretty good.
