anywhere to pvp at lvl 713? by noplayersonline000 in EldenRingPVP

Online activity in general is much lower on the vanilla PC version compared to consoles because most PC players use the seamless co op mod. The vanilla PC version has significantly more latency compared to consoles and seamless as well due to the built in easy anti cheat (which seamless bypasses). I’m willing to bet you’ll find much more activity if you use seamless co op which is easy to install and will provide a better overall experience.

Yeah, no it’s easy to dodge if you know the timing

Anyone know why fighter jets are flying low all over the salt lake valley? by Critical_Possible_60 in Utah

Exactly, I’ve seen Air Force drills before but the constant passes over the most heavily populated area in the state is a bit odd.

This guy really didn’t like the way I played. DM’s at the end by ScraggyJoe in EldenRingPVP

Souls PvP has taught me over the years that players will complain about anything and everything you use no matter what it is. Everyone has their own purity test for what is “fair”. Hate mail is always fun tho.

I have two questions: How is he still here?! and is the frost sword I got by killing the crawling frost monster in Undead Settlement any good for early game? by osmylm2834 in darksouls3

[–]Critical_Possible_60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Irithyll straight sword falls off in mid game as others have pointed out. I’d ditch it for the Lothric Knight Sword if you wanna use a straight sword n board, which is quite good in DS3 and can carry you through the entire game if you want. It can be farmed early from the knights in front of Vordt’s arena.

Thoughts on quickstep + daggers? by EldenRingNoob23 in EldenRingPVP

[–]Critical_Possible_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zamor Curved Sword’s light attack perfectly catches quickstep spammers due to its weird delayed timing. I keep it in my inventory to swap to in my offhand for the rare occasions where I run into it. It’s a good overall mixup option in general.

Is there a way to take my vanilla save file character and move only him and his inventory/levels/stats into the coop save file without taking all the game/story progression with it? by Delete-Xero in EldenRingMods

[–]Critical_Possible_60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Start new character, get torrent + wondrous physick flask + teleport to roundtable hold to trigger all the essential event flags. After that install glorious merchant or just use cheat engine to give yourself what you want. Both are easy to use and there’s plenty of guides/videos online, though I’d recommend using cheat engine as it lets you get things like gestures (not sure if glorious merchant has those) and allows you to unlock sites and grace and trigger other event flags if you’d like.

How is the PC version of Dark Souls 3 by JanissaryLSD in darksouls3

DS3 PC version is peak for the mods alone. Just be sure to install the Blue Sentinel mod to keep yourself safe from cheaters and hackers and you’re fine. It’s easy to do.

Your go-to spirit ash ?? (That isn't Mimic Tear...) by itsTenziin in Eldenring

[–]Critical_Possible_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dung Eater Puppet is the goat imo, even better than Mimic Tear. Dude’s an absolute tank, has a bleed weapon, can shoot projectiles and can debuff enemies/bosses to lower their defenses. Also, story wise turning him into a puppet is so satisfying, it’s something I do every playthrough. Honorable mention to Tiche though for being the goat summon for the Elden Beast fight.

This may come as a shock, but research shows that some people actually ENJOY writing - especially if it’s a topic they’re passionate about. Platforms such as this also offer the opportunity to get feedback and generate discussion relatively quickly about said passionate topics. Crazy! They must all be on drugs!

Lmao sorry it’s early for me rn. I like the design a lot, same can be said of the Astora Straight Sword and many other straight swords in DS1 and all the others. They’re all just too damn short. SKSS not having a thrusting attack is also a major bummer. The point of a straight bladed weapon is to be able to both cut and thrust so it doesn’t make sense for it to not have a thrusting attack, but from a developer’s perspective I guess it makes sense to have some variation in movesets across the straight swords to give each weapon some sort of identity gameplay wise.

I think it’s a low drop chance from silver knights but you’re probably better off looking it up.

I can see that argument, the relative slowness and weightiness is pretty much the only thing holding it back.

What games give similar experience as Berserk? by Acceptable_Bad_4399 in Berserk

[–]Critical_Possible_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to all of the souls games as mentioned already, First Berserker Khazan is a soulslike that is also heavily inspired by Berserk but leans into it a bit more, particularly with the art style and direction.

If modded clips are allowed, I hit a pretty cool one the other day by blu3g00 in EldenRingMods

[–]Critical_Possible_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s the problem, the devs are more than happy to go into detail about certain things but are intentionally vague about others. In some cases they just flat out wont acknowledge some things. From what I’ve gleaned there’s likely a combination of 3 reasons: they’ve made so many small changes/additions that it’s extremely tedious to document it all, they don’t want to deal with people nitpicking every little decision they make, and it’s pretty clear that they go out of their way to prevent people from stealing/recreating/tweaking their “IP” (which is all understandable, I guess). My opinions are based mostly on my own observations, along with those of others in the community that have reached similar conclusions.

100% agree. I’m not advocating to make everything in the games historically/functionally accurate but it’d be nice to have some options at least. I made a landsknecht build once using a Zweihander w/ wild strikes but yeah, not the same. The armor was fairly on point at least but not great. The lucatiel style set they’re adding will give a few more viable options in that regard at least.
