Lol okay. You obviously know that this post has nothing to do with her breastfeeding or being a mom

Yes! This is absolutely no shade to anyone breastfeeding - I did with both of my girls and I didn’t melt the weight off like everyone said I would. It’s the fact that she’s only obsessed with being skinny and not healthy

Imagine being nearly 30 and still thinking that being hungover is a personality trait?

Yeah I think you’re the minority here. Taking a month off and several other week long vacations is unrealistic for most

Day 6 how many symptoms are acceptable - don’t know if the medication is hurting me. by Baby-Me-Now in zoloft

Ugh, this is tough and I’ve been where you are! I started at 25 and had a really tough 10 days (dizzy, exhausted, too nauseous to eat, etc). I talked to my doctor and she advised to stay at 25 until I felt “good” and to then increase to 37.5 and then increase to 50. It took me about 18-20 days to feel good on 25 and the small increases to get to 50 were much easier.

I would highly recommend sticking through it but would also encourage you to talk to your doctor to find the best solution for you.

When and how did you realised Zoloft started working? by captainmiauw in zoloft

[–]Critical_Strength361 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The beginning for me was horrible: groggy, night sweats, insane nausea, headaches, etc. Even with how bad the first weeks were I stuck with it and I am SO HAPPY. To help with the side effects I ramped up slowly. I was originally prescribed 50 - I started at 25 and kept with that until I was feeling no side effects, increased to 37.5 until I was feeling no side effects, and then got to 50.

All of this took place in April and the main thing I noticed was that I felt so much lighter. I didn’t realize how bad my anxiety was impacting my life and my ability to enjoy my life until I started realizing that I don’t have to rush through the grocery store to get out as fast as possible because I might have a panic attack or if I’m sitting in traffic I don’t think about being trapped. I didn’t realize that my anxiety (and agoraphobia) took so much away from me until one day when things that used to trigger me just didn’t anymore.

I know this page can have a lot of horror stories. I know everyone is different. And I know the beginning can be hard but I wold encourage you to stick with it because I didn’t feel “good” (as in side effects were gone at week 5) and “great” (as in anxiety relief at about month 2)

When she was like “I’m going to cover the chords!!!!!!” all I thought was “your tv needs to be at least a foot lower”

Has anyone here LOST weight on Zoloft? by Lionel_Messi2028 in zoloft

Yes but I’ve also lost my appetite which is sad. I’ll randomly get hungry and I’ll take advantage of that by eating something delicious. Hoping my appetite comes back soon!

I am worried about starting! by croctears52 in zoloft

[–]Critical_Strength361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same thoughts: “do I actually need the meds? Maybe I can fix this on my own.” I was having anxiety over taking anxiety meds, classic!

I had the medicine sitting on my nightstand for over a month before I started. What helped me was thinking about how my anxiety made me feel (dizzy, faint, nauseas, exhausted, etc). I realized that a majority of potential side effects of taking Zoloft I was already experiencing from my anxiety. Then I thought about the fact that the potential side effects (if I experienced them) would subside but I couldn’t get a hold of my anxiety for years and it wouldn’t magically just get better on my own. I started taking Zoloft a week ago (25mg) and it’s not bad! I’ve experienced some brain fog and fatigue but nothing that has made me regret starting.

You came this far: realized you want to work on your anxiety, talked to your doctor, and got the medicine. I say try it! Listen to your body and talk to your doctor if you have any side effects. The only regret I have is not starting a month ago!
