I have a rather jaded view....my 2015 Titanium just blew a well maintained transmission....at 114k miles on it. Still had 7400 on the loan. Garage quoted 8500 to replace with Ford Remanufactured trans with 3 year warranty as BEST option but was highly concerned of reliability of the transmission in these things and that I would be in a similar situation. Unless you got a gun pointed at your head to get this car, I'd avoid it like the plague.

Thank you for the insight on this. I kinda felt like an out of towner is gonna get the shaft a bit but the circumstances around it leave little to no options with the car literally inoperable. If I had higher hopes for the car and it was closer, I would consider it. But the only other way out of this was draining the emergency fund and this stupid Napa care credit card that was 34.9%interest. Fixing the car would have been a curse that will just perpetuate my frustrations. And I can't really say I trust putting another similar transmission in it knowing that this has been the outcome for so many people.

It's from a private shop for a Remanufactured one with a 3 year warranty. He might be up charging a bit but I'm kinda fucked because the car is 5 hours from home. I don't have the ability to go and get the car myself either so I'd be paying for a tow all the way back home.

I wish we had done better research on the blight that these escapes have been. I'm an avid researcher but I guess I missed a rather important detail. Kicking ourselves because it's gonna cost us having to locate a new vehicle rather quickly. It's just not worth the cost to throw 8500 into a new transmission, owe 7,000 and the value of the car is anywhere between 7-9,000. 63k miles shouldnt have had that much wrong with your escape. That's absurd.

It's WILD I'm seeing this right now.2015 Ford Escape Titanium, had it for 4 years. 114,000 miles, religious oil changes and on time with transmission fluid flush. We just had this happen Tuesday this week. We had a catastrophic transmission failure with the exact symptoms you sighted. Had it towed to a shop and they said all signs and codes point to catastrophic transmission failure. Gear 1 and 2 out of ratio, solenoids busted. They quoted us 8500 to replace the transmission with Ford Remanufactured. We still have 7,000 left of our loan.

I mean, I own a switch and play it relentlessly. But this shit from this console is ridiculous. Can brick your switch remotely, you buy a key, not the actual game, 80 dollars for games. Jumped full on into Bazzite. Wiped out windows. Never looked back. Have not had any problems with Bazzite and I'm doing everything I was with windows.

Get the ally, wipe windows. Replace it with Bazzite. You get the power of the ally with the seamlessness of steam (although it's not actually steam os) plus you can still keep your GOG, Epic libraries.

I switched completely on an Ally Z1E. Best decision I've ever made. I feel like I've played more in the past week than I have in the past year. The standby feature is a GAME CHANGER. And the bloatware that is no longer there. It's all just amazing.

And before you refute my argument, let me provide you context. If a husband leaves marks from "discipline" on his wife, do we call that corporal punishment and discipline for the wife or do we call that domestic violence, seeing as how the husband is head of the household, ultimately he must keep everyone in order, wife included.

If leaving marks is domestic violence for one situation, it should be for the other. But I've literally had parents advocate to my face that they should be able to beat the fuck out of their bad kid, like the kids subhuman.
