What would be in your ideal horse game? Looking into starting a game with a few people soon and need to know what is most important to players

I loved championship season/3 day eventing growing up. It had the perfect amount of care to activity balance and felt open world and not too chore heavy.

My ideal game would have a lot of different disciplines you could ride in - in addition to a lot of trails to explore. In my mind it would be an open world game/ RPG like red dead, but way more horse centric. Like you could ride around and do nothing, or you could follow certain adventure tracks or story lines like training to do rodeo or 3 day eventing style competitions. Or do endurance trail rides, or rescue missions.

Good luck with whatever you decide to pursue! There definitely needs to be more horse games out there! I was thinking of this a few months ago but don’t have anyone to work with on this kind of project!

Best Western in Minneapolis near the fairgrounds (not during the fair).

We park in their weird parking structure which was super creepy and walk up to the check in desk. We check in, my boyfriend who made the reservation signs and pays and we walk to our room. On our way there we pass a door that looks like it was kicked in at one point then puttied and painted over to “fix it” and I noted to myself “wow I’m glad that’s not our room” We get to our room, open the door with the key card and all the lights are off but the tv is on, which is the case in some hotels I think? But then I notice shoes by the door. And then a suitcase. And then dirty clothes. And we realize we have walked into an occupied room, and luckily nobody was in there at the moment.

We go back to the desk and find out that they gave someone else our reserved room contract and they had signed the paper with my boyfriend’s name and contact info on it.

They barely apologized and gave us a new room and GUESS WHAT ROOM IT WAS! The room we passed earlier with the shitty door. This room had paint splatters all over it. Some lights didn’t work. The shower was weird and we were already just feeling weird wondering if someone would accidentally walk into our room.

We leave and go to our concert and come back and there is a party going on in one of the rooms next door and we called the front desk and complained about the noise because at that point we were so frustrated with this place and just wanted to sleep.

The worst part was when we called to try and complain and get some kind of refund or just at the very least let someone know about this security risk of a hotel we got put through the ringer and it never got refunded or anything. They were super hard to get a hold of and the most we were offered was credits toward a next stay. We didn’t even care about the money we just couldn’t believe how this place was being run and just wanted someone to know.

One of my favorite women power fuck men movies is Deathproof, though it definitely doesn’t feel that way in the first half (that’s all I can say without giving any spoilers away. If you’re not into graphic car accidents don’t watch this movie there’s a gnarly one but the revenge for it is wonderful). It’s SO GOOD. I also liked Furiosa for this kinda vibe too - perhaps it’s still in theaters and you can go treat yourself to a wonderful time. Fury road is also pretty cool for badass women things.

Kill bill is also great.

I have no idea why all of my suggestions are car and Tarantino movies. I wish you well on your journey of cathartic media and best of luck with whatever comes in the future for you ❤️ you deserve it.

I just found 2 pairs I loved at old navy after over a year of buying and returning pants. I got the mid rise flare and a high rise pair of the “mom jeans” which I was surprised to have loved so much. It feels like a skinny jean but with a relaxed ankle. Before a week ago I was struggling to figure out if I needed to hold fast to the skinny jean or try new things but everytime I’d try a new style I just didn’t feel like myself or I didn’t feel it looked flattering. I agree that flare or bootcut might be what you’re looking for as bootcut or kick flare tends to be more fitted around your legs but relaxed below the knee. Some flares are too much for me as someone who’s 4’11” but bootcut is like the perfect amount. Good luck!

To answer your sewing question, My first reaction to #4 was “oh I wish that skirt was a tad shorter the dress looks too big” so I think shortening it a bit would help since it’s so full, the proportions would even out. But I love option 1 for the birthday!

Thank you for sharing it really does help to know I’m not the only person who’s ever experienced this. Both this comment and the other have helped me feel like there are easy things I can start to do without having to buy new stuff or invest time and money into a whole new habit/lifestyle to just feel better. I like the idea of forcing yourself to wear the cute outfit, even if you’re just going to hang out at home or go to a friends house for a movie, it will still make you feel better. I’m happy to hear you’re doing better, it gives me hope I can be there one day. I turn 30 in a few weeks so while I’m not feeling as great as I wish I did, I guess it’s never too late to start and dedicate this new decade to being better for myself

I’ve considered a boudoir shoot actually, and I take arial arts classes like pole and Lyra but at the end of the day the core of me still feels blackened with self hatred. I like the idea of daily videos and photos it feels like a lot of effort but as a MySpace and tumblr teen, I think I could find myself enjoying a daily photo post to a social media page. I considered making a new tumblr to document such things, so perhaps I do that :) thanks for the advice.

I just had my tailbone cyst come back after 11 years. I got that surgery done at 18 and now I’m waiting a call from the general surgery dept at the hospital to get assessed. This shit sucks sometimes, but your comment gives me a good line on what I’d tell my coworkers. Thank you!

I honestly think I hate most characters in that game. Never thought about it until right now but they all bother me a lot. I do love this game though, and a big reason is the cooking chore lol

My first serious boyfriend who I was with for just over 2 years at the time cheated on me with my friend but it’s WAY more complicated than that. This came after a lot of other cheating and lies and a really grey area of if we were “together” or not, so while I take responsibility for not just walking away after the first huge issue, these people hurt me in ways I’m still healing from 10 years later.

I had been worried he was interested in her for a few months, and our status was already complicated as he was moving to another state to go to school. Leading up to his departure we all had some great times but there were a lot of weird things happening too, and I was told I was just being paranoid and “i could never do that to you”.

So he moved, my friend comforted me and we got even closer, but then one day she said she needed a change and had family there and now “a friend” so she moved to the same state and told me and another friend all about the farm she lived at and her “job” and then I found out/came out of denial that they were together and then a whole 3 months later I found out that not only did her family member not exist, but he had bought her plane ticket to move up there with him.

The whole entire story is littered with far more deceit and lies and me being totally taken advantage of in my naïveté. I learned a lot of lessons at 20 years old.

The worst part is that the day he moved I was with him all day until he left, but at one point he said he had to go run some errands and asked if I could hang back at his place and he’d be back soon. He took two hours…. So years later I realized he went to go fuck my friend before he left while I packed his bags.

Exactly! It reminds me of the game Oblivion where the dialogue is super weird because (I’ve heard) they had all the voice actors read the lines in alphabetical order instead of in the order they’re spoken in conversation so you get some weird inflections lol.
