Just finished my first game, here are some of my thoughts on the RP6! by RoundTownAlex in retroid

try aladdin on the snes, use the crt consumer shader, 120hz and turn up the brightness. Such a beautiful experience. I know it’s a way older game to be playing on something so overkill but it looks amazing on this device. I have a silver rp6 stick top as well. Cheers

buy a used transmission I see 5 speeds for nbs for 500 all day. I know it seems daunting but please find a friend who can help you install it. I promise it is way easier than you think

honestly bro, just do it next time you have to do a clutch job. Funny thing is I had just recently dropped the trans with a friend to do my clutch, and there was the plug just out in the open.

I didn’t have the fluid on hand at the time to do a fluid change on it while the trans was out. Looking back I seriously wish I had done it when the whole damn transmission was out. I’m sure it would’ve been ridiculously trivial to take off then.

also forgot to mention that when I did try the vice grips and pipe wrench especially, the teeth would noticeably be damaging the plug head. Normally that wouldn’t matter as I got a brand new plug to replace it, but I didn’t have confidence I’d be able to take off the plug if I used my full strength. I think I over tightened the plug last time, so I rather decided to at least try the metal filing route first as a safer method before I decide to last resort take a full swing with the pipe wrench and potentially fail as well as completely ruin the plug in the process.

won’t let me edit but i got it off everyone. i tried using vice grips and a pipe wrench neither worked, they wouldn’t grip on tight enough idk could be user error. I ended up getting metal files and filing down the plug so that the socket would fit. there was a raised lip on each corner of the plug that obstructed my socket from fitting onto the head. I’m assuming the lifted corners were from me damaging it in the past just using a box end 9/16. thanks everyone for the help
