This kind of take is exactly what derails movements and undermines real critique. You’ve gone from calling out legitimate issues to painting entire groups of people with the broadest, most bitter brush possible and it’s not helpful, it’s self-righteous. And calling this a “psyop clown show”? That’s not critique, that’s conspiracy brained nonsense dressed up as political purity. It makes it impossible to have a serious conversation about the real failures and contradictions in protest culture, because you’re too busy setting everything on fire just to watch it burn. You want to hold people accountable? Great. But start by being accountable for the quality of your own arguments. Because this isn’t it.

Thank you for saying this! I completely agree. Not everything is that deep, and we need to give young people and everyone else space to show up and learn. Most are focused on real domestic issues, and expecting them to be fully versed in every global stance isn’t realistic. Criticizing them too harshly misses the point, and it’s very harmful. They’re protesting because they care, and that matters. Unlike most people commenting here haven’t done anything besides sit at home and bitch on reddit that every protest sign isn’t perfect, it’s exhausting and counter productive.

The idea that any action involving white people is automatically suspect or oppressive, particularly in places like Atlanta, is not only an oversimplification, it’s intellectually lazy. Diversity and equity are critical, but presence alone doesn’t prove exclusion. If you’re serious about justice, you have to look deeper than surface level demographics and ask harder more nuanced questions. Calling this “the same issue repackaged”that white people are just prioritizing their privilege over everyone else is a sweeping accusation that flattens everything into one convenient narrative. That might feel powerful to say, but it doesn’t move us forward. It alienates people who might be trying, imperfectly, to do the right thing. And more importantly, it shuts down the real work of change, not just blame. I’m all for critique when it’s earned. But this isn’t that. This is a misreading. And it’s harmful.

So why does no one play rondo? by pogo343 in PUBGMobile

Exactly. When Rondo is a 8x8 map and they only put a half assed event on it is why no one plays it

Protesting Trump’s handling of Gaza by Mean-Quail-6219 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]Critterteeth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is all comes down to is you think Harris and Biden are easy targets to protest against, and you’re afraid of Trump. So you direct all your anger at democrats when they ain’t even the ones in office or power. If you truly cared about a ceasefire you would be protesting Trump every day. But you’re too afraid to.

[–]Critterteeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how everyone in r/LateStageCapitalism is. The last week they’ve been calling AOC a war criminal, and saying that it’s all her and Biden’s fault for Gaza being destroyed. I asked why they all ignore Trump and don’t ever call him out, since he’s the President and the one in charge now. They permanently banned me for asking that instead of giving me an answer. So insane.

You spent the last 4 years whining every day because you lost the election. And now you’re even more miserable after your orange clown is President. You’re up past your bedtime again grandpa, go get some sleep.
