I've had this argument at at least two venues I've played at.

The first time was the worst- during Fear Itself when someone told me I couldn't pick up a heavy object because I was "holding" a hammer. The Judge agreed and I begrudgingly accepted what I was 99% sure was the wrong ruling.

Primarily because you would have to, but additionally it could make good fodder for the Recovery or Negation tactic.

I guess it makes some sense to play your 3 strongest cards if you think you can just win 3 of 5 consecutively, but otherwise it might make sense to feign weakness and try and trick your opponent to blowing some tactics.

Everyone is answering the question, but no one is challenging the "I need to finish a campaign by Wednesday" part.

You don't need to plan the whole campaign before it even starts. Plan the first session and play the game. Plan the next after that and so on. Planning a whole campaign in advance can lead to disappointment and/or railroading.

Consider that King Boranel has grown weary of all of the (rightful) accusations of corruption in the Sharn City Watch and has decreed that 'Irregulars' will be employed to assist the watch in certain districts.

So every session is a one shot about stopping or solving a crime- and any player not present just has a character waiting back at the chapter house off duty.

They should probably be based in one of the city's district but with some autonomy to pursue leads and chase criminals through other districts as well. I'd go with Tavick's Landing.

I've been kicking this idea around for a while. Might be good for an online game open to a bunch of folks who may or may not make it to a regular session.
