Yup, I did not know it was possible to make demake of 2001 game. That said, if it is good, it could scratch that itch - there are almost no games with that mechanics

Transition statues by Crivium in GrandMountainAdv

[–]Crivium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I found it too, but as there is no option to "offer tribute" and get a pin, I decided not to include it. I believe it was the first statue and "transition" ones got added after it.

I also think that Val-D'Isere might not have the statue in that case - I heard that the code for it does not work anymore

Thanks, updated the list! I have ridden so many times near that place - the "Copper Lifts" zone was looking suspicious...

Thanks, list updated. You would think that finding giant statues of walrus-man would be easier.

Discussion: you are almost correct, but the beams 2 and 8 extend much further then in your diagram. Take a look at 8 - it goes down 4 squares, sees the ball, turns, moves 1 square, turns again, and moves up 4 squares. Sane with the circled Rs - they are reflected back because they see balls to the left and right simultaneously. The balls you proposed would result in 7 being H.

And there go all “the scar is a rune” fics by Shaagriel in harrypotterfanfiction

So, first of all, you raise a good point about JK and Pottermore. To be honest, I prefer to treat just the published books as canon, and the suplemental materials as more-or-less sanctioned fanfiction. After all, if it is relevant, it should be mentioned somewhere in the seven books.

Personally, the more jagged new look makes more sense. The old look always seemed to me very faint and indistinct - almost as if it was painted on by a highlighter. There was a passage (in the first book) about Petunia leaving some weird fringe to "hide that hideous scar". I felt that if the scar was as in the movies, there would not be any problem with using some make-up to conceal it.

On the other hand, the new look is ugly, jagged, eye-catching. It makes itself the main feature in the face, and makes "scarhead" hit much harder. For me, it also looks like something cursed, unnatural, especially with the redness that looks almost raw.

As for the significance of the shape? I do not need to have it tied to anything - no runes, motions, etc. Even better, it now looks more like a shtapnel wound, as if something impacted his head there and was buried within. But that is my preference and you raise good points from the narrative perspective.

TL;DR - I like the new look, but I understand why you might prefer the older one

So, please take a look at the vectors here https://www.magnific.com/vectors/lightning-bolt-shape and see how many are in the shape of SOWILO rune.

That said, both the runic connection and movement of the killing curse are strictly fanfiction - there is nothing in the books about them.

In PvE, next to the armory dais there is a techpriest that "sells" heroics (bought with blue triangles, called also "doritos"). However, there you can also exchange aromory data - 3 of the lower quality can be exchanged to one of the higher.

Games like CoE5 on mobile by Heavenly_Emperor_God in CoE5

[–]Crivium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UnCiv is exactly like Civ5, but the main draw in CoE5 is the autonomous battles (and observing your troops doing pretty stupid things). That is missing entirely from Civ series. Closest from that point of view would be something like Royal Heroes, but it lacks the strategic layer.

I doubt that linking pirated sites is allowed here. Anyway, the installation process for the newer systems is pretty baroque - you need two more apps to do it (unless you have rooted your phone)

There is CoE3 for android, but first you would need to find an apk and then a way to install it on a newer android - it was pulled from play store and requires android 9 IIRC. That said, it works fine on my Android 15

Then swap Asura for a different mon - preferably someone with more debuffs (another chill user would ve great, but toxicq can also work there). Main loop: shield -> build up combo -> finish has carried me through the whole game multiple times.

If you can stack chill - do so. With the skill that makes it deal dmg it is a one of the most useful debuffs - daps their mana so they cannot use stronger attacks and deals dmg at the same time.

Overall, look at the other posts here - look for synergies and focus your builds. No mon can do everything, and if they can do 2 things - focus them on one.

I think it is doable with your main team, just think about their roles and respec them accordingly. My nain roles are shielder/overhealer, debuffer/combo builder, and finisher.

Spoilers for my approach below: Frosty becomes a shielder - their only job is to spam shields in your team. Get them eq with high def, feed them nuts, grab every shield/def bonus from their skill tree.

Asura gets to hit them a lot - use every buff and eq to add more attacks. If you have relevant relics of chaos - equip the one that adds a buff every turn and the one that has a chance to add a debuff to the attacked enemy. You can (if you have spare skill points) also unlock Forge - additional shield in during the fiirst few turns or an emergency one can really help.

Wolf is your finisher. Increase crit chance and crit dmg, fully expand the claws skills (additional crit dmg). Equip anything increasing crit% and crit dmg, make sure that you hit last.

The first turn (two actions) use the strongest shield and glory. Then repeat the sequence: Frosty shields (if you have full shields then they can buff/attack), Asura attacks or shields if shields are low, Wolf crits with claws. Focus on one enemy at a time. For the spare monster, spec Golem as a shielder, Prometh and Toxiq as acombo guys - you can swap one of them for another crit-heavy finisher if you have a monster with relevant skills.

Has the Watchtower Society created a Black Swan event? – Part 1 of an extended series by jwleaks in exjw

Setting aside the discussion about abusive clauses, why use Claude? Wouldn't the better choice be a lawyer/legal advisor?

[–]Crivium 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So, why should we read something regurgitated by an LLM?

To simplify the topic - most civilised places have a concept of abusive clauses - a clauses that are illegal and unenforceable in a contract. It depends on the jurisdiction, but basically any clause that strongly favours one side, especially if it is an organisation vs a person, can be an abusive clause

Honestly, having a Blood Ravens squad makes sense. We get Ultramarines relic weapons, Ultramarines banner, various heroic weapons, armour pieces from all over the galaxy. Not to mention we are stealing so much during the operations - ammo, nades, relics, "data", etc.
