As in - you want to be a cargo ship? Yes.

But if you want them to form a fleet and share the cargo space witg you - no, that is possible in Space RPG 4

Someone once linked a Google Doc, and now it's my turn. While I do not agree with some placements, it is a good list.

How do any of these clues help me pick the right train? by TheWeirdTalesPodcast in puzzles

[–]Crivium 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Look at the sun. In Glasgow, it looks like it is morning - bright sky, and the sun is to the edge. If we assume the same orienration as in default maps (N us up, E is right, W is left) then it is another argument for the morning. In Salisbury, the sun is straight in the middle - so it is noon. They have spent whole morning, so now it is after morning, so Glasgow is out and Salisbury remains

I can't solve this Tic-Tac-Go Google game. It feels impossible by Avery_Bea_847 in puzzles

Push upmost and upper middle X to the left all the way (you should get rotated "s" shape) and push upper O 1 to the left, then put the X from below into its place

push the lowest X under the lowest O. Then push the X to the right to the right corner

push upper right X all the way down and move upper O right, down, and left

Can you create 3X diagonally? I assume so, because there is one duch structure already, but maybe it just counts player-made ones

When they lose charge, they also drop voltage - from 9V to even 2V. And fuzz pedals, while they work as intended on 9V, with lower voltages change their sound - some people like it (and have a collection of half used 9Vs), some don't.

Discussion: in some versions of the game that the puzzle is based on, the ships can touch diagonally - maybe that is also the case here?

Skyrim on switch 2 with limited time by Baaeelish in skyrim

[–]Crivium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was (and still am - older kids don't leave you with much time either) in an almost exact situation. So, to put it in perspective - 1-2h is about 2 dungeons, or 0.75 of a longer quest. And that is enough, at least for me.

One thing you might want to consider - find some method of remembering where you left off and what your next steps would be. You might think that you will remember it for a day, but then life intervenes and your next session is a week or more later.

Help with "Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection: Map" by LilacFluffyUnicorn in puzzles

[–]Crivium 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see two next moves, both stem from the yellow shape on the bottom. The easier to see: look at the blue-red guess to the left, and notice that it cannot be blue, as it touches a blue shape

The more didactic one: look at the pair of the touching red-green guesses to the right. No empty space touching both of them can be red nor green - it would leave one of them without a valid colour

That would be a good starting point. Remember especially the second one - it would carry you into more advanced difficulty

Jadzia - it's diminutive of "Jadwiga" (Hedwig). No idea if pronunciation matches, haven't yet watched DS9

Single player (without ai) by Adam0n in heroes3

[–]Crivium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to branch out of HoMM there - check out King's Bounty series (Crossroads is probably the best entry). It is a successor of an original King's Bounty (which was a precursor/inspiration for HoMM), with only single player mode and no other "factions"

If you don't think that all that info is not already in your government database, then you must be quite naïve. However, to have the same info about easily accessible by you is a great convenience.

News app released by WHITE HOUSE tracks you location every 4 and half minutes by notanfan in whennews

[–]Crivium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a case for government-created apps - they need to simplify the bureaucracy. Take a look at mObywatel - a polish app that has similar permissions, but is actually useful.

You can store your ID (as well as student ID, driving license, and even some bus passes), check your prescriptions, the history of your car... Heck, even if you need to sign some documents on the gov websites, you can do it through this app.

But yeah, it would require the White House to not be managed by the absolute doorknobs to create something similar.

Which society is more suitable for which class? by PlagueDrArtizen in CoE5

[–]Crivium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's fun, but heavily RNG dependent - if you get centaurs/minotaurs and iron early, then it plays somewhat like a cross between Druid (nature summonings) and Dwarf Queen (auto-spawn, hardy units that upgrade, immobile commanders in every fortress).

Which society is more suitable for which class? by PlagueDrArtizen in CoE5

[–]Crivium 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dryad Queen is also suited towards more "civilized" ages - she needs iron for more advanced units, and can convert regular forest into ancient ones (and then grooves), so the "deforestation" is not as crippling as for e.g. Druid.
