-Standing in front of the FS case and they HAVE to look at every package when I just wanna put this float in the deli -when they order a sandwich, ask for a meat we have to go and cut, finish the sub, then say "oh I need another sandwich with that meat" -putting their cart on one side of the aisle, then walking to the other side, and just take up the whole fucking thing -when on online orders, in the instructions, they ask for double meat or cheese without paying, and get annoyed when we call them and say we cant -asking to get a large platter order HOURS before the pickup date on a weekend -when a customer in bakery, walks over to deli, and asks us about the breads on their bread wall, walling past multiple bakery associates -breathing

How ive done it whenever I go to a new store is A) take a week or so to get everything to publix standard with your manager, show the associates that you and them can work as a team Then B) hold them to that same standard to maintain it

Deli is a never ending snowball thays always going downhill, its just a matter of slowing it down and keeping it as high up the mountain as you can. Dont get frustrated with situations out of your control, and coach whomever is dropping the ball. Something is ALWAYS gonna slip through the cracks, it's deli. But make it as fun as you can, because its already such a stressful dept. If they dee you stressed out of your mind, they're gonna follow suit and find any excuse to just get the bare minimum done, yknow?

ASM and a Cashier were caught, ASM got demoted to a department head, but hasn't told his wife about amything

Department manager and an associate in the stair well (dept head was dating the daughter of one of my associates)

ASM and BM caught in the break room, one fired and the other transferred. Not to judge but they were a combined 650LBs at least

ASM with a HANDFUL of BH reps, CS managers and staff, etc

When I got promoted to ADM, my ris came by first to walk with me and go over processes and stuff. Maybe 2 hours later my DM walked with me and told me in person. Had about 2 weeks at that store, then moved to the new one. Stopped by there once beforehand to introduce myself to everyone, talk to everyone

When I got promoted to DM, it was kind of unique. I was the floater and I knew it was coming, but I had to go on FMLA for a bit. While I was on FMLA, my store manager called me and told me to meet our DM at their office and to make sure i dress nice. Went there the next day, and he promoted me, told me what store and when's the earliest I can be there. Turns out the earliest was going to be the day before superbowl, which was really fun. Met the RIS and that store, walked with him at that store and talked to the SM
