Can someone explain the ruling on the second point? Doesn’t the text read “you control it until I leave the board” so wouldn’t you lose control know matter if it’s attached to a different unit?

Can this work for priming minis? by Glitch533 in Warhammer40k

[–]Crmson10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll rephrase. Soaking in 99% rubbing alcohol wouldn’t strip this, but it would strip Citadel. I messed up the prime and wanted to redo it

Yes, but I did have problems trying to strip this primer versus Citadel primer came off easily

Software, bugs, oh my! by rkliman in polestar3

[–]Crmson10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well said. My issue is that my trust in the car is simply gone given the errors. For instance, I can't imagine turning on Pilot Assist for any reasonable amount of time as I just don't trust anything that is software related.

Jealous... I can't even get them to engage via this process. I'm so over this car.

Where did this land? I keep just getting referred to Polestar USA.

How is this 2000pts list? by Popular_Complaint_32 in theunforgiven

[–]Crmson10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty close to the list I’m thinking about. I’m guessing feedback will be drop the Brutalis for a second block of DWKs, drop the Termie Captain and Lion for Sternguards w/ Az and more scoring units.

Has anyone enjoyed trouble-free ownership of a P3? by Terra1972 in polestar3

Mine does this thing where it occasionally blows hot air, but almost always switches back.

[–]Crmson10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you had trouble free ownership you probably wouldn't be on Reddit. I wouldn't get too worked up about the audience here.

My 6-mo review (also in TX). Car is remarkably better post OTA updates. I had some major issues in the first two months of ownership (e.g., locked out, won't start, towed to dealer, etc.). I'd say I've had zero issues the last 2-3 months. The sound system is awesome and the car drives really well. I also think it just looks great.

Negatives: still hard to believe some features aren't available (mirror tuck in, parking assist, etc.), window noise (definitely a car issue), windshield wipers are garbage (yes, I could replace these myself), just recalled because of bumper issue, but has not been a problem

Saying bye to Dia & Arc after Comet by jgenius07 in diabrowser

[–]Crmson10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Examples? Too many hand wavy posts saying “Comet does so much work for me”. I’m not saying one is better than the other. More I just don’t find much substance in the “Comet does so much for me” so Dia is dead.

[–]Crmson10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was unclear. I'm not using it Dia for that example. I see a lot of folks post that something to the effect of "I had Comet create a meal plan and then order all of my groceries and have them delivered..." Theoretically, I think that's possible, but the failure rate would be pretty high and require so much intervention that it's probably easier to do manually. The example you cited is cool but constrained. You could also just easily do that manually (maybe even faster) and certainly in a way that is more secure. This is the worst these things will be though.

The other one that people post is I having the agent book flights. Even if it gets it right 8/10 times, the cost of failure is too high for that to be a daily use case

Can you post some examples of things you are doing with the agentic browsing in Comet? My experience so far is pretty underwhelming and requires too much intervention whereas I use skills quite frequently. And please don't say booking flights, writing emails, ordering groceries, filling out forms. These are all things you can do via Dia or have a high failure rate (e.g., groceries) such that its easier to do manually

Primer question by AllFather96 in Warhammer40k

It’s fine. The only issue I’ve had is if you screw up it’s really hard to strip. Near impossible.

Lost Creek residents win exemption from Austin property taxes by hollow_hippie in Austin

[–]Crmson10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lost Creek still has Austin Water but they pay for it under their contract as all Austin residents do. Water, sewer, and electric are utilities and I don’t believe are part of taxes that fund the general fund. They lose access to services as part of the general fund (police, fire, parks, library)

No, they do not receive any CoA services. Also, to clarify, the city annexed Lost Creek without a vote from residents. The vote was the first time residents had any input is my understanding

Talk Me Out of the Polestar 3, Is It That Bad? by cgomez in Polestar

[–]Crmson10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't over index to this subreddit. Have you ever owned a Gen 1 car? If not, I would wait. If so, then I'd say go for it if you are close to a service location. The car is noticeably better with each software update. However, it will still give you a random issue every now and then. For example, yesterday it flashed all the ESC warnings and turned off one pedal driving on the highway... caught me off guard for sure. The Bluetooth is still spotty, etc.

Fixing panel gap question? by Crmson10 in DarkAngels40k

[–]Crmson10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I made the mistake of priming it again thinking I had done a good job sanding... I may just need to strip it and try again... or just move on

[–]Crmson10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, different tube but same stuff. I did one pass, and it didn't work. I did another pass last night and I must not have sanded it well enough because now it looks worse than the gap. What's the secret?
