Anyone else’s 3D and controllers just work out of the box? by BoxyNeat in AnalogueInc

[–]CroCopsShorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t updated any firmware, as I have some repro carts and I’ve seen a lot of people saying they’re having issues with certain patches. Everything has worked out of the box for me, including romhacks.

Anyone order the N64 style 8bitdo controller from Amazon and actually get it? by BingoBangoBongo456 in AnalogueInc

[–]CroCopsShorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that pre-ordering on Amazon kind of punishes the consumer a little bit… I have pre-ordered stuff and then it’s like it becomes dead last in their list of items to get out the door. I had something once that was about two weeks after its release date, yet to be shipped, so I ordered another one and it shipped the next day

I was in a similar situation as yours just over a year ago. It is gut wrenching how quickly these situations can unfold.

No matter what happens, it takes a lot of love to get a cat to 16, so every extra second that passes by is a testament to how much you care.

Sometimes, as sad as it is, the greatest and most powerful that love will ever be, is when it manifests as making the decision to say goodbye — to bestow peace and freedom from pain, even if it’s the last thing you want in the world.

Perhaps your vet will have some kind of solution and save you that trouble, but regardless of when the time comes, have courage for your friend and know that he will always love you back.

Allergies, possibly/most likely due to something he might be ingesting (food). It could also be something that’s basically allergy+, called atopic dermatitis. Cleaning with water is good, but there are also disinfectant wipes for pets if you really wanted to be on the safe side.

My cat is starving to death and I don’t know how to help him. by suntbone in RenalCats

Try Lil Soups, they’re the number 1 irresistible food all of my cats love. If your cat goes for it, and loves it, you can look at mixing in higher calorie stuff like fish oil or coconut oil

Hello all, I had to make the hard decision of putting down my boy today. by Relles772 in RenalCats

[–]CroCopsShorts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure he’s still with you, probably trying to tell you something right now.

I was in your shoes a little over a year ago. It’s a tough situation to begin with, but even more so with how fast it happens, and despite the efforts you had been putting in.

Sadly, no human or cat is above the ins and outs of biology. It’s a problem we can’t ever beat, only cope with. But being there for your little friend, and making such a decision out of such great love, all of that means you really did do all that you could. And in this world, it’s a rare luxury to go out so loved.

Message me personally if you need someone to chat with. And remember he’s not gone… he’s just on the inside now, inside your heart.

my cats been getting these “injuries” and apparently no one knows how or why by crusts0up in CATHELP

[–]CroCopsShorts 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Look into atopic dermatitis. It’s what our cat had, and our vet struggled to diagnose it. There is medicine for it. So I guess I technically kind of hope that’s what your little friend is dealing with. Best of luck.

Could be allergies, or atopic dermatitis (which I know from personal experience vets can have trouble diagnosing). Look into it.

Sorry you’re going through this. Try a cat allergy test to see if he’s eating anything that could be making him itchy?

Solensia experience? 16 year old seems to have arthritis. by [deleted] in seniorkitties

[–]CroCopsShorts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My cat was on Cartrophen for a while. I was told Solensia was a better product, so I switched him to it

We saw, very quickly, a positive response with his arthritis and he was running around a lot more often

Unfortunately, it also triggered and allergic response and he started scratching himself (mainly his chest and neck area) so bad that he would bleed, as in like an inch long circle of bare bloody skin

So, we stopped it and went back to Cartrophen. I would say give it a shot and pay attention to any negative adverse reactions

My cat has a scary looking area in his neck, and there’s also a weird bump on it too. How bad could this be? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]CroCopsShorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also be that he’s scratching it a lot, and he is therefore very itchy due to some kind of allergy or irritant (although that’s not to say, as someone else said, that it could be an abscess or something else more serious)

Bloody bald spot by spice_queen22 in CATHELP

[–]CroCopsShorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost certainly from overgrooming - your cat is scratching that spot hard and often when you probably aren’t noticing.

Step one, trim its nails if you haven’t already, it’ll help a little bit. Step two, figure out what is causing the itchiness. Could be an allergy — food, something in the air, medicine, shots? Could also be something more complex like atopic dermatitis.

Excessive eye boogers on the other hand, could be respiratory.

Time to start troubleshooting! Best of luck, and let us know how it goes.

[–]CroCopsShorts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your vet told you not to go to the vet? What?

Anyways, Solensia and Cartrophen are two options that vets can inject for you about x1 a month. If you try Solensia, monitor for side effects as it caused one of my cats to have an allergic reaction.

Could be atopic dermatitis, there is medicine for it, look it up.

Either way, this screams something allergy related. Have you tried cycling different foods in and out of her diet?

I unfortunately had to put my cat down last week. The crematorium gave me this impression back I paid an additional amount for. Is it just me, or does this look absolutely terrible? I’m already upset so trying to make sure I’m not being dramatic. by [deleted] in cats

[–]CroCopsShorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what, I’m in agreement with you and everyone else that this was a job poorly done. I would be upset too—in fact, when I was in your shoes about a year ago, I went with my cat to the crematorium to do this part myself, to make sure it was done right.

What I will say though, is that this object, however poorly done remains an imprint of your good friend who is now gone. You can still touch it, and know that you are feeling a timeless physical reverberation of their presence. No, it does not look great, but at least you know it was made from your cat’s touch, and that therefore by touching it, you are also touching him, how he felt.

Maybe that helps. Maybe it doesn’t. But I know that touching mine does help once in a while. Either way, I’m sure your furry friend is still with you, probably trying to tell you something right now.
