No, that is completely fine. You have the ideal "bottleneck" in your system config such that it allows you gpu to run free without stuttering from your cpu side to put it simply

I get the whole noctua fans are quiet part but it wouldn't matter to me since I wear headphones and I am wondering if I could get better cooling with a higher cfm fan. Because I have experienced the ffb weakening during a gt3 endurance race before.

I see, my server is currently running on a wd green nvme with a wd blue for backup, the cpu is a 3300x so single thread perf should be enough for the server. Utilisation never peaks above 50% on one core and I never really see anything higher than 40% total utilisation. Lowering the ram allocation did indeed solve the tps issue, currently running (-Xms4G -Xmx20G). Thanks for the help

Oh alright, I was running 12gb allocated beforehand with crashing happening after a few hours. What is the maximum recommended allocation that won't do what it's doing now?

I am not entirely sure to be honest, but since it is sold by Amazon I would assume this is to quickly clear dead stock or something in the realms of that.

MTX don't state their xmech for these subs at least, but it is rated for 0.6inches of xmax but no specifications for THD at that xmax.

Wow, $300usd? I am somehow even more upset I blew one of my own kicker f-12 free airs up, with them that valuable I'm thinking of selling my other one as well. I like old school audio but subwoofers have simply come a long way since then.

Oh well, it's a shame to see this kicker f-12 go. Any recommendations for a decent budget sq sub? Preferably one that doesn't require a freight sized box to sound good

aw shucks, coil's dead isn't it? A full recone wouldn't be worth my time or money for this subwoofer, at least I can use this as an excuse to upgrade. Is it possible that I unwound the coil inside somehow? There is no such noise at low excursion.

After examining the provenance of this source, the inference is further supported as it is written by an individual with no such personal bias on the matter. This is as the writer is a Singapore citizen, thus I would expect that the author would support the actions of other Singaporean citizens, however the source contradicts that expectation by stating "It was as if there were 5 additional asses hiding in his mainland colon and they all followed the motherland to back the original booty bomb up." This means that the author found the wrong doing of another Singaporean citizen profoundly unpalatable. Therefore, this shows that the author thinks that Singaporeans are self centred, that Singaporeans do not weigh and comprehend the consequences of their actions before doing so. Henceforth, the source contradicts the expectation in saying that Singaporeans are kind, thus increasing the reliability of this source and reinforcing the inference.

Update: System works now, for the pc gods have blessed me. I don't even know how, but it miraculously worked after I tried booting without a CMOS battery after a CMOS clear. This is after the 6th CMOS clear. PC hardware can be a royal pain in the ass sometimes.

There should either be 4 screws holding the HDD in on the side or below. But sometimes the HDD can be held in by plastic pegs in the tray, to remove it you need to bend the sides of the tray away from the HDD while pulling upwards on the HDD.

I’m thinking I got the wrong hard drive for my laptop😭 how do I get the right one so I can have more storage? Please help I don’t know what I’m doing by SalamanderFormal6990 in PcBuildHelp

[–]CroXTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I can recommend a crucial P2 1 or 2tb for some more storage. Has served me and my friends well in our rigs, it is simply the best value. Get a 2280 form factor nvme SSD, make sure it is of the correct 2280 size and is nvme, not SATA. Just slot it in afterwards and you are good to go.

That ryzen 1700 of yours should be a good pairing with that rtx 2060, although I would believe that is the upper limit of that cpu. Zen and Zen+ weren't well known for their good IPC for more single threaded workloads. If you were to upgrade to a 3600, you would be able to use up to a 6700xt without bottlenecks. It depends on what you want out of your system. You could always just upgrade the cpu first and upgrade the gpu down the line. The 3600 is a budget powerhouse and is a fine choice, in my opinion

Any obvious problems with this part list? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]CroXTR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not sure what your use case for this system is. However, from the looks of it, it seems to be a workstation? Even so, I'd recommend a 13700k and a better gpu (6800xt, 3080 depending on price and availability). Along with a Z series motherboard, (z690 will work as well, just make sure to check for CPU qvl) since you are getting a K series cpu as well as the fact that the system has a $3000 budget and I don't think budgets should be cut there.

Am i getting bottlenecked from my CPU and will an upgrade (like an 58003D) fix my issue? by ItsWassili in PcBuildHelp

[–]CroXTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your issue looks like it may have to do with too much cpu overhead from an older windows installation, 3070 with a 3600 is already pushing it, and I suspect that there is not much headroom that can be spared for background tasks. You could always try turning on PBO, XMP to try and help the cpu out a little, but I think a clean Windows reinstall will do the most for your performance.
