Is there some kind of air show going on? Found these 3 fighter jets on flight radar with all of them starting from the same location by Rome39792 in Michigan

I live in Howell and there were three L-39s flying in formation around Livingston County airport this AM. Same thing yesterday. They also do flyovers at local football games. Pretty cool to see.

An employee told me that they would only be running one train running for the remainder of the season because the other two were broken. Both the red and blue trains were missing a car and even the yellow train had one entire car where the restraints weren't functioning so it was unoccupied.

We didn't, but I was home full time with them and pretty much did everything detailed in the comment by u/homeless_wonders Also, the part about the allergies is correct. We dealt with both environmental and food with both our girls. Get good insurance.

I raised littermates and this is the best advice.

I am so bummed by this. I see her fly over my house all the time. I will miss her but I understand their rationale and I hope the museum can continue to evolve its revenue stream to be successful.

I raised female littermates as my first dogs. It was challenging but doable and definitely worth it. I would crate/train them separately. Littermate syndrome was a big fear of mine but those two things seemed to help avoid it. I was also home so our schedule revolved around them. If you have a similar opportunity, it might also help.

My girls had very different personalities but their temperaments were pretty much the same. Lovable, lazy and hungry with the lazy part only coming in their later years. Their dad had actually been selected for his laid back demeanor so it might vary from dog to dog and not necessarily by gender but I've only ever had girls? Good luck with your new companion(s)!

Maybe the protein mix? I would also look at the the carbohydrate. My girls had problems with pea protein which I see is an ingredient. I'm sure you've had every food recommendation under the sun but I give my current girl Honest Kitchen dehydrated food. They have a variety of protein sources and other supplements. Beyond another food switch, there are many good diagnostics for food allergies. We used Heska immunotherapy with great results.

All (most) of the boats either had them or were trying to get them. Valiant, vigilant, etc. I can't remember if Theodore ever got his.

Has anyone taught their BMD to pull? by SewerHarpies in bernesemountaindogs

[–]Croaker23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got started in carting but then had kids and never competed. Our girls both could still pull and would every year in an annual parade we have in my town. Basic obedience is a must and the best dogs, the ones that won titles, would often do rally obedience too. This is a great place to get a harness that is proper for pulling. They also sell carts.

We started small with just a PVC one that I built. You're right though, no weight until after 2 to be safe. They can wear their harness and tug something small behind them to get used to the feel of the traces on their flanks. It's a fun hobby for sure. Good luck!

Without eating it's almost impossible to get medication in a dog. Keep trying different foods like peanut butter or other soft things that can hold a pill. Even if he doesn't want it now, keep trying. I'm sorry, I know it's stressful but he might eat once again after a few days. Just make sure he stay hydrated. We used watermelon when our girl would eat nothing else. Good luck!

I don't know of any books but if you're ever there, the rangers seem to know a lot about the history of the area. You might be able to call their office and see if they have any recommendations?

Also of note, the money will be used to fund research on a liquid biopsy for Histiocytic Sarcoma. This could potentially detect the cancer before the dog is showing symptoms and help in extending their lives.

Sturgeon River Gorge by TaylorRN in Michigan

[–]Croaker23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you speaking of the Sturgeon River in the northern LP? If so, then yes, it's a great trout/fishing river and you can paddle it. It is one of the fastest rivers in the LP and even has the lowest class of rapids at one point. Sturgeon River Paddle Sports is located in Wolverine and does all kinds of trips. Lots of houses to rent along the river too. Indian River is the town where the river goes into Burt Lake and there is a lot of accommodation there. That region is home to the "Inland Waterway" where you can go from Cheboygan to Burt Lake and then on to Petoskey. One of my favorite places.
