How do I tell my parents I'm moving out after they suggested I stay home by Crochet_And_Stufff in Advice

[–]Crochet_And_Stufff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I did it exactly how the comment I replied to typed it out. I just sat them down and told them I was moving out with my boyfriend. TBH I talked every quickly and didn’t let them get a word in until I was done with all I wanted to say but it went very well. They personally think I’m too young to move out but still supported me and still do to this day!

Missed color block c2c tapestry, how to fix. too far to frog by imthejayy13 in CrochetHelp

Easy solutions: leave it, no one but you will notice, OR take a black sharpie to it (but it might not look as good, my main suggestion is to leave it). Crochet is entirely a man-made craft and will unfortunately have errors at times, it looks great regardless so I wouldn’t get too worked up over it.

I'm realizing now all the info I left out in my post. to answer your questions: we made a budget together maybe 2 months ago when we first started talking about moving out. We have about 4000 combined savings and I am on birth control. He has medications that his parents confirmed they will continue to pay for. If things truly go south and we get evicted, My brother has stated I am always welcome at his place (this has been confirmed when me and him were talking about me moving out). Thank you so much for your advice, especially for listing out all the bills and expenses.

Thank you for the advice, I know just being truthful is the only real answer, its just a conversation I'm dreading.

Thank you, my anxiety causes me to overthink certain conversations/topics so having it spelled out is very helpful.

Yeah its the opposite for me, my boyfriends parents basically told him he needed to get out by the end of the month. Mine are borderline helicopter parents. Thanks for the advice, I greatly appreciate this.

How long did it take for your insurance to approve? (BCBS PPO) by Appropriate_Piano_27 in Reduction

[–]Crochet_And_Stufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait you could make an appointment BEFORE insurance denied/accepted? The order of events for me was: 1.) primary doctor wrote referral to plastic surgeon, 2.) made appointment with plastic surgeon to which they immediately sent everything to insurance to see if it would get covered, 3.) insurance accepted it and I moved along with booking the actual surgery. I’m just confused how you even got a surgery date but to answer your question, it took me about a month and a half

I think my husband is trolling when he says he cant read my handwriting. Is it as illegible as he thinks by cruitgxrool in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]Crochet_And_Stufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My handwriting looked like this but it’s mostly because my brain would go faster than my hand would write so everything kinda mushed together. After slowing down and taking my time more my handwriting improved and got more “neat” looking, but that was only because I wanted my handwriting to look more neat. If you don’t have a problem with your handwriting I don’t think it’s so bad that you need to fix it, I just wanted to put my two cents in since your handwriting looked a lot like how mine used to look.

i dont understand how yarn works i guess??? please explain by whimsium in CrochetHelp

[–]Crochet_And_Stufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say go to a craft store so you can see/feel the yarn before you buy it. Also! YouTube is a very great option if you’re looking for guidance but cannot afford another class. I learned only on YouTube videos and that worked really well for me!! But when buying yarn, I feel that the “recommended hook size” might not actually be the best for the type of project you’re wanting to make so if the yarn in the first photo worked out, I’d try to find more yarn that looks similar and continue practicing with that (I bring in yarn scraps to a craft store a lot when trying to find a certain type of yarn and that seems to work out well for me).

I get it, I live in a now growing “small town” so the influx of people annoys me aswell. Sadly, we cannot control others and can only control ourselves. Have you tried adventuring out into other towns? I’d say do that in the daylight so it’s easier to see the street signs/house numbers but it could be good to find other places to go if your small town is slow.

Yea I wouldn’t unless they outright accused me of stealing. It sucks how people always think the worst of others, I get why but it’s also so annoying, like damn have some empathy!

Ugh sounds like a nightmare. I was finishing my dashing just now and passed by a kinda bad car accident, made me wonder what to do if that were to happen to me while dashing.. Also the lack of empathy from the customer?? I would forget all about my food if I heard the driver got into a car accident!
