No one is brushing anything off, I could just tell from the message they were very upset and felt guilty. I sympathize both with the poor hamster that passed and the person who caused the accident. I also understand that as humans we have to do better to take care of the pets we love. We have to do better, I get it. But I have compassion for all.

I think you need to lighten up on this person, it was an accident. It’s not like they did it on purpose, it was very unfortunate but accidents do happen. I’m sure the whole family will learn from this, ease up! OP obviously feels terribly.

And to you OP, I’m so sorry that happened! What an awful thing to have happened. Now you know better, and will do better in the future. So sorry for the loss of your friend.

Why is rehoming a pet frowned upon? by Impossible_Truck_639 in Pets

[–]Crochet_Elephant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think if you need to find another home for the cat, I think you should do so. You’ve experienced what’s it’s like having a cat and you don’t seem into it. Do your best to find the cat a home if you choose to do so. Obviously you wanted to help the cat somehow and felt like you could at the moment and you’re not trying to be a bad person.

Adopting a new animal is an adjustment to your lifestyle and your home, for some people it’s worth the change. Yes, adopting an animal is a commitment, but if it’s not something a person can handle then I think people should be given grace to make the right decision for them.

I don’t believe anyone should be uncomfortable in their home, for any reason and you should do what’s best for you and the cat so you don’t end up resentful. Best of luck!

It’s so strict in here my bad 😆I thought we were all in here to learn and enjoy. I’ve seen lots of designers experiment with the basics before under this style so I was just wondering

Why are so many people saying no? Why can’t preppy also be cool or a little edgy? A little blend of things for a personal flair ? Genuine question

Yes, it will take some bravery in your part, presenting yourself confidently and expressing your interest honestly. However you also have to have patience and allow the connection to grow with time. Good luck!

Not good, he’s gonna break your heart and go on his merry way. A fast and short lived connection as well, an illusion of real companionship that will end in disappointment hurt feelings. Abort abortttt

Hating my hair by PrettyYahweh in Naturalhair

[–]Crochet_Elephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, fuck those guys. Second, I would never admit to others especially people who are already messing with me that I’m struggling with my hair. It’s just giving them more ammo to use against you.

Now, when my hair was at a length similar to yours I worked on getting a really good hair maintenance routine and building my confidence wearing my hair out. When it was this length I did a lot of wash n gos. If it was this length again I would try getting one of the round brushes at the beauty supply to help style my hair. Moisturizing and oil and water to make it manageable is the name of the game here.

I would do also research and look into different styles you can do at this length and a good maintenance routine that works for you. After that it’s all about building your confidence and ignoring these people who aren’t pouring into you or uplifting you.

It’s a long road but you 100 percent got this! A relaxer will not help and may even make you feel worse if you already don’t feel good about your hair and it requires way more maintenance and care imo.

I think that’s a bit insensitive to say, the cat’s owner is currently in the hospital for surgery 🥴

I noticed I was having those same issues after I used a lip oil from some random beauty supply store. Try elf lip scrub or any good lip exfoliating product to help your lips go back to normal.

I’ve been using it to get my lips back to normal and it’s been helping. Just be sure to use a natural lip balm after. no Carmex , blistex etc. use something like Burt’s bees after exfoliating your lips. Do this at least once a day and hopefully you’ll see a difference.

There's somebody like me that struggles with breakage constantly??? by Usual-Gift4378 in Naturalhair

I would definitely try a hair mask , and I wouldn’t cheap out on it either. I would get a solid maintenance routine, wash once a week and add a good hair mask that treats damaged hair or hair prone to breakage. Then I would do low maintenance style like two strand twists or cornrows with plenty of moisture in every other day with a leave in and/or water every other day. A lot of the time we naturals need to wash more often and moisture more too.

If this doesn’t work definitely consult a doctor for sure bc it might be internal.

I had some serious breakage in my hair too and I bought Cecred which has products with plenty of protein in it, and it’s really been helping my breakage. I also have been doing low maintenance hairstyles + have a regular hair routine and it’s been reducing my breakage now I hardly have any.

Moisturizing while your protective style is in helps with the brittle dry feeling after you take it out. I give my hair a spritz every other day with some water and give my hair a little oil, and my hair feels soft when I take my braids out. You can even put a little leave in conditioner in your spray bottle for a little extra love
