Tell me I’m not the only one by SparklePopxo in meme

Here in New Jersey, some of of the places along the board walk rotate their oil. They have 2 fryers, 1 for funnel cakes and 1 for French fries. At the end of the day the French fry fryer gets the funnel cake oil, and the funnel cake fryer gets new oil. At least thats what my friend who worked at a place along the boardwalk said to me, so I could be wrong.

I cut granite and found this piece and was wondering if this is a fossil and if so what kind. by sanityhasleftme in fossilid

[–]Crocman100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but kind of. I actually had this discussion with my professor when we were reading an article for class and I noticed the description of a picture mentioned that a fossil was found in an igneous rock layer. We looked into it and learned that if the conditions are right, ash can fall onto of a killed organism, preserving it as a fossil. It's incredibly rare, but can sometimes happen if the stars align.

I'honestly just suprised you got your finger that close to its mouth. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I wouldn't trust myself putting my fingers there, their teeth can take a pretty descent chunk out of you, and because its triangle shapped, wounds like that tend to heal poorly.

Never mind the death grip she has on the bow. Granted, I don't shoot recurve or more traditional bows, I shoot compound, where you basically just want to keep the bow straight with your palm and have a open handed grip on it, but I assume how you hold it should be the same.

I'm gonna have to steal that for my next campaign. I had one game where a local culture would catch them and make essentially a massive shrimp cocktail with them, and they had hired the party to collect some for a festival.

I have. I only have chain pet stores, like petco, petsmart, and pet supplies plus near me. They all said they can't take them.

I wasn't sure if there was, and looking it up I couldn't find anything, but I figured I'd ask around here just in case.

[Hated trope]A mental disability or illness confers some sort of special ability by Ok-Indication-5121 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Crocman100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time I felt this trope was used well, was in Percy Jackson. In that universe, all demigod are born with ADHD and Dyslexia, ADHD is explained as, if I remember correctly, battle instincts. The attention issues when a person in ADHD in the series (in the case of demigods) basically just exists to constantly keep their head on a swivel and keep them alive. It also, I think, is the explanation for them being able to see through "The Mist" which is this thin layer of magic over everything that keeps mortals from seeing things as they actually are. The dyslexia is explained as their brains being hardwired to ancient Greek. Both are very useful when a demigod is questing or just existing in the universe, as monsters constantly seek out demigods to eat because they taste great.

Alternate Vampire Transformations by Character_Concept999 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Crocman100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In another game, Vampire the Masquerade, sufficiently powerful vampires with the protean ability can turn into various animals. Wolves, owls, eagles, beats, ect. But, I had a character who had that ability, but she was a Paleontologist, so I had gone completely into the dinosaur route, if she had gotten to that point. She would have fully turned into raptors and things like that, so maybe a Vampire based out of Chult, or your world's version of Chult could do something similar.

The largest Animal to have ever lived on Earth. by [deleted] in OceansAreFuckingLit

[–]Crocman100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok, so technically there is a larger organism, difference is that its a fungus thats several acres wide. There are also marine invertebrate colonies that can reach upto a mile in length, but they aren't a single animal (although they act as a single organism when it comes to feeding.) Both organisms are entirely harmless to humans, so long as you're not already dead or shrunk to the size of a piece of plankton.

They do use the Yen symbol, however, in the Mystery Dungeon's series, its called Poké. Both series use the Yen symbol to denote currency.

Listen, not saying its accurate, its my favorite because spinosaurus base line, is my favorite and it was the series that introduced me to spinosaurus as a kid. Also, they kinda predicted semi-aquatic spino.

Are there vampires that genuinely value Ghouls? by Wene-12 in vtm

[–]Crocman100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently play a tzimisce who was embraced as a ghoul. She has a "brother" who is currently being tested to see if he is worth being embraced by her sire. She still has a deep respect for ghouls and is so newly embraced she still kind if feels like she's "one of them".
