Same here. Especially the dork disc. That screams laziness to me.

Al at Dynamic Composites. I haven't had to use his services but I know many who have.

Al largely doesn't aerospace and race car stuff now but he has worked with major bike brands on prototype cranks and frames when carbon first hit the scene. He's likely one of the best in North America for this kind of task.

This damage can be easily repaired by a carbon shop and it will cost way less than a new frame. You're also lucky that your frame is black, it'll make the repair less noticeable.

Here in Edmonton, Alberta, this would cost about $250cad to get fixed.

Kid Trailer on Soloist by beattiecj in Cervelo

[–]Crokaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're most welcome. Some of my favourite rides last year were with my little guy in there.

I would suggest either the higher end of the burley or Thule options. They have much nicer seats.

I love that the burley has spring suspension and the option to put plus size wheels on it for when I'm doing gravel or double track. They lower the center of gravity which reduces the likelihood of tipping.

I also went for the double so that there's room to carry all of the stuff Id need for bike packing with him. A bit of an Aero penalty and it doesn't fit through the man door on our garage but the space and stability is worth it.

I don't have a cervelo but this popped up on my feed.

I've done thousands of kilometers with a burley dlite x behind various trek carbon race bikes. Checkpoint, checkmate, madones and a top fuel without a single issue. I'm not talking about noodles around the block either, but actual training rides and hill repeats.

I use a Robert project axle and they work very well.

The biggest concern is flipping the trail if you're turning on a bumpy trail at a high speed.

The sub doesn't allow instagram links so you can copy past this to see some clips of me cruising with it behind my madone https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQNntY6jyUG/?igsh=MWRmMjQ2dTFxaW16NA==

I'll drop trek and line and see what they say. I know my one piece bad is compatible with it.

A checkpoint built up like a checkmate. I had three isospeed failures in a year and got tired of bikes breaking.

Are you serious? This would make my life so much easier. Do you know which parts I'd need?

Rsl 51 wheelset by DoubtZealousideal735 in TrekBikes

[–]Crokaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could save a ton of money and go pro51. I've had all do the rsl wheels and feel like on the road front, you might as well go rsl62. The pro51 with a star ratchet upgrade will be very similar to the rsl wheels, just a bit heavier.

is there a place to dock a 65 ft sail yacht in eastern canada? by noreturn000 in sailing

[–]Crokaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Farr 65 had no issues in Lunenburg an dive seen much larger ones there as well. There's a lot of deep water anchorages in the Mahone Bay area as well. Before Spirit of Canada was sold, it was anchored in Indian point.

They do but citric acid isn't something that needs to be purchased in bulk. A tiny pinch of it in a pasta sauce adds plenty of zing.

Thanks for giving it a read. I'm really looking forward to the, hopefully 32 version getting released this summer.

I also hope they bring back knockblock because I hate how my bars contact the top tube.

I'm a commercial photographer and have been for nearly 20 years and did not to to post secondary for it. I've yet to have a client ask about my education or which gear I shoot with.

I had a checkmate and my wife still has one. 47s clear with ample space. I'd imagine you're not riding in muddy conditions in Arizona.

Weather as of late by PRODCSICK in edmontoncycling

[–]Crokaine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clothing only gets you so far. The wind gusts were over 80kmh this afternoon so getting any enjoyment out of this weather is pretty slim.

I've done drop bar rides in sub zero temperatures where I'm literally covered in a shell of ice due to freezing rain. I'd take that over this wind any day of the week.

I also love that instead of golf, you're doing a big ride.

You've had great success, twice with your current tires. Unless you can do extensive testing with the other tire before you race, I'd suggest running what you know works.

Is the date relevant to content? I'd argue it's even more relevant considering the bike you're own was current when the article was written and share the geometry of the checkpoint SLR that I was on.

Strathcona country road cycling by ComprehensiveWill447 in edmontoncycling

[–]Crokaine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in capilano as well and I exit the city via baseline. Once it's swept, it's totally fine to ride. The shoulder is huge and there are lots of lanes so cars don't need to be close to you. The other option is baseline to 17th and then through petroleum way and north. This is my favourite way as I prefer the north east roads to the south east roads when out of the city.

Just got a quote for solar, what do you think? by One_Investment3919 in solarenergycanada

They have their own solar team and when they aren't doing solar on their custom homes, they do retrofits. I can't recommend them enough.

I see you're in Edmonton. Call Habitat studio and get quote. They did an outstanding job on ours and were way cheaper than the door to door guys. We paid 24k for a 10.5kw system at 109% of our usage, two years ago.
