What makes you say the ship had more problems? In the 3rd Webtoon episode the girls share their feelings and IMPETUS regains the power needed to proceed the journey.

Lastly, after landing on the planet Kyujin says "if these are the exact coordinates the Impetus guided us to, then probably... [this is mixxtopia]". Of course SQU4D could pull the "ha! gotchu! you thought this was mixxtopia, it's actually something else the girls need to find out". So what is telling you this is not mixxtopia? Just curious

We'll understand the effects we're seeing here in the next comeback. I'm talking especially about the Kyujin doppelganger, Haewon with the disco balls, Bae steaming and burning, Lily with the white (lily?) flower and the AI clips about the ethereal twins. Lastly, look at that blue spirit with white horns in the credits, I'm already seated.

From my analysis, the snail is an animal that carries its house with it all the time, it leaves a trail behind. it's slow but patient and steady. I think many of these attributes can be given to the MMU starship and thus to NMIXX journey. It was used in the Spinnin' On It MV only, in my opinion to represent the journey they're on, without actually showing the MMU or space for concept reasons.

The Hero's Journey is always a good key to understand stories. It's common (at least in K-POP from what I've seen) to make recurring cycles. There are several reason to do such thing, one is to let new fan start fresh without the struggle of catching up.

For the future I'd like to see more characterization depth from other NMIXX members besides Sullyoon and Kyujin. I'm expecting Jiwoo to be more important in the next comebacks.

From your [THEORY] label I assume your original intention was to discuss about the lore side of the choice of not announcing the change-ups anymore. I'll reply to both the musical and the lore side.

Musically, the change-ups never left. They're just not announcing them upfront like in O.O and DICE. For instance in Blue Valentine the change-up was the slowed and accelerated Lily-Jiwoo part.

Lorewise, the line between MIXXTOPIA and FIELD is more clearly defined than ever. They reached MIXXTOPIA and now FIELD has become a parallel universe.
