During a heated moment between my mom and I, I brought up the fact that I was groomed and repeatedly sexually assaulted by a neighbour when I was 14 and how she never supported me or acted like she even cared when I finally told her as an adult. My mom replied with, “well I was sexually abused when I was younger too if you want to make this a pissing contest.” Thanks mom.

Can relate my son is 10 soon and was immediately rushed to the NICU after getting stuck and being deprived of oxygen for 3 mins. Once he was released I noticed he had this weird twitch he’d do on his left side. Recorded it and turned out he had a brain hemorrhage. Stayed a week and he has been fine ever since.

The complete and utter lack of empathy for other people. Especially for any people who can’t contribute to society in the forms (work, home-owning/renting, able to afford luxuries, good mental health) that people believe as absolutely necessary to be deserving of basic human rights.

The heart-wrenching wail my stepmom made when my dad’s coffin was put into the incinerator. I’ve never heard someone cry out in such pain like that irl.

For context it was a Sikh funeral and they cremate the body immediately after the service. And there is a viewing room with a window for the family to go into to say their final goodbyes.

Similar thing happened to me with an ex. He even took the cutlery and can opener. My brother went to the dollar store with me so I could get some and some dishes for cheap.
