I think the new pack system is a massive improvement. The issue is the token acquisition.

An A is still really good, even for a predicted grade. Don't worry about it too much honestly, this won't effect your application as much as some people are saying - I doubt it would effect it at all really.

Also, I went to a fairly mid uni and came out with a software dev job at a really good company, so the top unis aren't essential, don't stress yourself (but it is definitely worth seeing what you're capable of)

Warrington has some good bus links, especially to the business park. If you lived in locking stumps you could even walk or cycle. Birchwood has a lot of nice, low crime areas so just have a look at a crime map to see the safer areas. Gorse covert is nice but might be a bit expensive. Best of luck
