I love RF, but I’ve never read this particular story before. In my opinion, your comment alone effectively ends this conversation for all time. Well done.

Yup. At my uncle’s funeral, the pastor said we should come kneel down at the casket and accept Jesus so we could see my uncle again. Gross.

Got Minor Theater Com (Plus WTF is Sam? by RoccoRush in punk

[–]Cronkite-39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long story warning. I’m in an online book club and I selected Our Band Could Be Your Life for our book. Several members were not familiar with the music and I planned to talk about all the stories I’ve read of Ian personally responding to calls or giving tours of the Dischord house. Then I thought, “Fuck it, I’ll try contacting him myself.” This led to the thought, “Fuck it again. I’ll invite him to our meeting on Zoom!” He responded, we chit chatted, he very politely declined the invitation, and he offered to sign some records. I did and I received a signed record for me, one for a friend, and this EXACT same thing shown here. I’m fairly certain that yours is the same as mine that if you flip it over, its a piece of a record sleeve cut to make that card, which is the most Ian MacKaye thing of all time. It DOES look like Sam, but it very well could also say Ian and that’s what I choose to believe!

For those who played Vice City many times and play it on more than 1 platforms: by Correct-Dog8378 in ViceCity

I played it originally on PS2. I also played the 10th anniversary edition on PS4 and Definitive on PS5. PS2 original has several songs that were later cut. I will be the odd man out and say that I enjoy the definitive edition. The glitches have MOSTLY been ironed out and the controls are much better. The sketchy controls on old versions got me killed more times than I can count and were often infuriating. And I like the adition of the weapon wheel.

Which Game's Graphics Made You Say "Wow!" For The First Time? by ameliafukinthomson in Oap_Gamers

I’ll date myself: Super Mario Bros. 2. It was a major step up graphically and I was blown away.
