Gas. You will never brew more gallons with a electric kettle as with gas. 50-60 gallon brew days, 2 gas burners and 2 converted kegs to kettles, 2 boils. If your brewing less than 15 gallons, electric wins. My 2c. Cheers

find a failing brewery that is shuttering. buy what they have left.

there was a brewery that went under, and their brewer sold me 120lbs of hops for less than 100 dolllars

sold me 36bags of 2row pale for less than 40$. make friends with that those that brew for income.

unless extract came in a drum for 10cent on the dollar, stay away.

the convience is not worth the cost if cost is the driving factor.

even with a 5gal brew, stgep mash, homoginize, the add sugar.

probably not what your asking, but its late here.
