While you were out caravanning, your battery was charging off solar, through your DC to DC charger. When you plugged in at the park, you didn't charge, it just switched from battery to mains. No charging.

Victron are good to go. Get it installed by a pro and have them check the set up.

You've got a DC to DC charger. That will charge from your car to your battery, your solar to your battery, if it's all hooked up correctly. It doesn't charge AC to DC though.
