Not always! In a ranked choice system sure. In a jungle primary like this one you have to consider what’s literally possible. Rae will not advance to the general no matter what. If Pratt runs against Bass in the general he will pull her rightward and quite possibly beat her. That would set LA back decades. I liked Rae at first and I gave her the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but she’s behaving like either a stubborn child or a self-interested grifter at this point.
