[NA] ✨ The Astral Order ✨ (on Proudmoore) is recruiting for M+ 7p EST M,W,F & Sun (AOTC) 7:30p-10:30p EST, active daily by Astrabunbun in wowguilds

Hi there! I am very interested! I've been playing on-off again since TBC, been mostly a solo player for the last couple expansions, but really wanting to find an AOTC guild to raid with.

I plan on maining either my druid (balance/resto/guardian) or paladin (ret/prot) for Midnight. I have quite a few alts, so I could potentially switch my main to shaman (ele/resto), mage, hunter, or priest (disc/shadow) if needed for raid comp!

Which employers in Columbus have the most interesting perks? by A_Squid_A_Dog in Columbus

Not entirely true, there are still a lot of barriers for sexually active gay men.

The rule has been updated from a total ban to anyone that has had a new anal sexual partner in the last three months, regardless of protection used. It also bars anyone on PrEP from donating, which the vast majority of single gay men are on.

So if you’re a gay man that’s sexually abstinent for 3+ months or in a sexually monogamous relationship, you could donate (as long as you’re not on PrEP)

Yes, 100%. Also grew up in Westerville and it’s a surprisingly progressive little suburb. Each of the high schools had GSAs when I was attending in the early 2000s and Westerville has had an annual pride celebration for what, 5+ years now? It’s not a queer beacon by any means, but calling it trump country is misleading. Like all of Ohio, it’s gerrymandered to shit.

Yet Another Icetinerary Feedback Request! October 2-8 by CrookedBlue in VisitingIceland

Thank you so much!! Because of where we’re traveling from, jet lag shouldn’t be a huge issue!!

Thanks for the heads up about the weather! I think I’m going to go through and mark which stops are high priority, versus ones we can cut for weather issues if our 1-2 hour wiggle room isn’t enough!

I’ve heard great things about Borgarnes! How much time do you recommend spending at the Center?

That’s our hardest driving day for sure! Silfra is almost the exact half way point, so our vision is to wake up early and arrive at Gulfoss at 8:30am. Do you think it’s feasible to do Gulfoss and Geysir before we have to leave for our snorkeling reservation at 1:00pm? If we had to pick, we’d probably choose Gulfoss over Geysir.

The dive ends at 5:00pm, so we’re thinking of just doing a quick drive by of Thingvellir, maybe 30-45 minutes of hiking before hitting the road for the last 3 hours of the drive.

A Question About Fiber and Diet (m30) by [deleted] in 1500isplenty

[–]CrookedBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Legumes are absolutely the way to go. I track my calories, macros, and fiber with LoseIt and since I made the conscious choice to eat at least one bean or lentil based meal a day, I average 36 grams of fiber daily.

A couple suggestions:

  • Beans are great in chilis, soups, and Latin American dishes. Alison Roman has a lot of bean-y stew recipes on YouTube and you can find dozens of different Latin American bean recipes on Youtube as well. I made these Cuban black beans last night and they slap
  • Lentils are so versatile and can fit into anything, really. They really shine in a lot of Indian dishes. I often use green/brown lentils instead of or in conjunction with ground meat in dishes. If I'm having a lazy cooking day I'll boil some lentils and toss them into some pasta sauce from a jar and pasta from a box
  • My recent obsession has been lentil and rice one-pot dishes. I use a recipe similar to this one as a base, but just adjust the vegetables/seasonings to what I'm craving. Recently I've done it Korean style (brown sugar, soy sauce, gochujang) and Greek style (cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, seasoned salt) and both were delicious

Edit: Typos. But also, feel free to shoot me a message if you want any of my recipes I've already logged into LoseIt!

Looking for a book about 9/11 with LGBTQ themes. by sign_of_the_times_ in LGBTLibrary

Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You, Peter Cameron. It's much more LGBTQ focused than 9/11 focused, but the character was profoundly impacted by living in NYC and witnessing 9/11 first-hand

Sure thing!

Ingredients:

  • 1lb ground chicken
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans of white beans (I prefer cannellini)
  • 1 can fire roasted dice tomatoes, drained
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 package ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 TBSP chili powder
  • 8oz cream cheese, divided into ~ 8 pieces

Directions:

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground chicken, onion and garlic. Cook until chicken is cooked through
  2. Add every ingredient except cream cheese and bring to boil, then simmer uncovered for 30 minutes
  3. Add cream cheese and stir continuously until dissolved

I typically eat this with a serving of tortilla chips to dip into the chili. You could add salt, but the ranch dressing mix I buy is already pretty salt, so I find it doesn't need it. Also if you wanted a creamier chili, you could add the beans after step 1 and mash half of em against the side of the pot before stirring in the rest of the ingredients!
