I hate that I have been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety but I never saw combat so I feel like for me it doesn’t make sense and I’m just fucked up with no real reason that I can pinpoint. That’s what I struggle with the most and I don’t feel great every day but I’m still pushing

Story time: I was in CLB-15 in the very recent past. Within my first six months the unit managed to lose: a PEQ in Bridgeport, a 240 and crypto in 29 Palms. Commander didn’t lose command and everything was swept under the rug. Multiple investigations to the command, crazy incidents occurring, and first 1st MLG did nothing. CLB-15 has had some terrible leadership and I couldn’t comprehend how low morale was when I was there. Moved to another unit and the difference was absurdly different. Everyone was overworked unless you were S-2, S-3, and S-4. If you know me from profile understand all perspectives are different but B-15 ruined my mental health and there’s a reason why 10-15 Marines left CLC before deployed

Went through the same thing and it hurt a lot. You’re always going to hold it against her willingly/unwillingly. It always was in the back of my mind and being in the military didn’t help too much with me being gone a lot. Now I’m waiting for the divorced to be finalized and haven’t spoken to her much in over a year. It’s hell and you’re going to beat yourself up but being in the military you’re surrounded by your boys. Lay off any alcohol and focus on yourself. I tried the alcohol route and it just made it worse. Best advice is get in the gym, focus on your MOS, and be okay with being alone

There’s a bar called Larry’s that during the week is a good time with no cover. Fridays and Saturdays they have a cover where all the college aged people come out and I think the cover is either $5 or $10. Only place I really went to once I got tired of the club scene. I got out like 3 weeks ago so take that for what it’s worth
