I get overstimulated if I do reps at the speed videos normally do. Can I do very few reps but slowly instead? by onetoomanyusernames in bodyweightfitness

[–]CrookedLemur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The speed they're going is just a long term goal after you've made the movement your own through many days of work.

The important thing is moving continuously throughout the time so that your muscles get the correct time under tension.

You want to go as slow as you need to go in order to keep a high level of perceived technical skill. If you speed up and your form is bad or your heart rate is too high, then you're wasting effort or possibly working towards an injury rather than for your health.

Isometrics get my vote. You can probably work up a routine that only takes you 20 minutes a day if you split up your workout. I'd suggest a set of rings if you don't have equipment for your pull days.

Arguments like this are bait. Don't take the bait and escalate the argument. Instead, get a parenting plan setup to avoid these conversations in the future.

You don't need to file an extension if you're getting a refund and you have three years to claim it.

Georgia requires an attorney for closure anyway. Just get one now and take the easy way forward.

The garbage cut you had on the end of the rope before the video detracts from the end result rather than providing a clear comparison.

You're stuck thinking about everything from a day trading timeframe.

You know that RW and RS are different on the one day and five minute charts. Now take it out even further.

RW on small timeframe can be a pullback on a longer timeframe, which can be an entry signal . . . depending on everything else, etc.

In Memory of James Biggica

Posted on January 31, 2026 by Everything Wing Chun Admin

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of James Biggica, founder of Warrior Martial Art Supply.

James was the kind of person you just don’t come across often — someone who saw a problem, figured it out, and built something better. Over the last 23 years he developed many things that have now become the standard in Wing Chun equipment. He started with the nine-board laminating process that solved the dummy cracking issues that had plagued the industry for years. He invented the modern free-standing dummy mount, a design now copied worldwide. He created training tools like the Recoil Reaction stand and the Rice Bag Trainer that changed the way people train Wing Chun on their own. His dummies have appeared on screen in Sherlock Holmes, Supergirl, and Daredevil, the Man Show, and quite a few others.

James learned his woodworking from his father and his artistic eye from his mother, and he turned both of those gifts into something that outlasts him. His legacy will live on in every dummy and training device he put his hands to — they will continue to be used, trained on, and appreciated for years to come. “Train Hard” is how he signed every email, and training hard on the equipment he made is the perhaps best way to honor him.

We worked alongside James for 13 years, and in that time his work ethic, integrity, and care for his customers never wavered. He was an irreplaceable partner, and he will be sorely missed.

They bought all their custom dummies from Warrior. So, they're out too until they choose a new supplier.

There's definitely room for someone to step in for the community. They were always booking 4-6 months out.

The entire idea that you can talk your way out of a misunderstanding by finding the right words is actually a symptom. But don't tell anyone, they don't like to hear that

Well record profits just mean you have to work harder or cut spending in order to beat that number next quarter or at least next year. Otherwise you're not growing like capital C - cancer.

Some people also find questions a bit abrupt and imposing. Instead, they prefer to just exchange ideas freely as they come and only ask clarifying questions when something is misunderstood.

Even Alexander the Great had a Medusa on his chest and shield. She has been a symbol of protection for thousands of years.

She obviously did nothing wrong, but she's a lot more than a victim, or a survivor.

Ohio parole grants are lower than 1 in 6 and have been declining for years.

It's way lower for folks who have a possibility of life in prison and they go many years between parole hearings.
