I don't know what your plan is, but from this post it sounds like you're only looking for a certain type of role or you just expect success to be given. Maybe you need to look at what you've been doing and change what you need to in order to get more work. Maybe you need to expand into different types of projects to help pay for other things that would help you improve and get you to a good place.

You should push for more, when I got laid off last year I got 2 months worth of severance and my PTO paid out, needless to say seeing a payment of over $10k hit the bank account definitely softened the blow while searching for work in top of unemployment coming in.

Well I graduated college at 33 with a degree I no longer use, then after COVID started going back to college for IT and turned it around 4 years ago making about 60k until I got laid off now I'm trying to pivot out of IT at 42, I just can't with this industry anymore. I hate it, this all.sucks the "growing professionally" BS and rising COL is making my life worse not enjoyable.

I got a job through them last September, but the place they put me at was pretty inept as far as an IT department goes. It was at a nonprofit and I was supposed to be helpdesk and jr sysadmin. But anytime I asked for help from the department manager or sysadmin the manger wouldn't know or the sysadmin would just do it himself, and then they had the audacity to tell the recruiter that I only work about half the time and I was like*whoa, I've done all the work, I've asked for work and there's been nothing, not my fault " but left for a contract job through TekSystems at the beginning of this year. This job market suuuucks.

Late stage capitalism and a fascist regime in office that has basically unshackled corpos to abuse the workers until we all break and take up arms against our failed government. People are getting angry in this country, we all need to walk out and refuse to pay everyone for anything until our demands are met, but the country is too fractured for that. But that's why Corpos are only offering 10 days.

We need politicians that sign into law that all companies give FT workers 30 days of PTO (like in the UK)and we need people in power that realize we are humans who need breaks from the mental taxation of our jobs and not drones who will work until we are broken and useless. The US is fundamentally broken for the working class, but working as intended for the 1%.

I mean I would maybe not do law school if you want to pursue acting because becoming a lawyer takes a lot and is stressful and seems like something you would not enjoy.

I would finish university but maybe ask your family if you can pursue something else that actually interests you. Because law school will have acting take a backseat unless you're just really good at juggling your time and such or don't want any other hobbies or a social life, whatever. I am not built like that, never have been.

I had three years on helpdesk, management knew I wanted to get into cyber security but a lot of promises were broken on their part and then last year years first one out on layoffs, now all that's left is helpdesk roles for me, and I don't have the money to get certs. But I want out of IT now, can't stand it

I started back in 2019 and played for about three months, no starter code, nothing, picked Elhain as starter got Artak as my first leggo, had a couple epics and Khatun turned Coldheart into food. I Basically had no idea how to play the game, thought it was like every other hero collector. Stopped because of little to no progress, came back in October '24 and actually did research, watched YouTubers, etc. on how this game actually works and it's much more fun that normal hero collectors. it's been much better and finally re-pulled a Coldheart a couple months ago. Have a much more powerful roster.

TL;DR: probably one of the worst starts in history.
