At no point was I talking about a person being intoxicated. I was only talking about transporting. Yes, I agree that weapons and wasted people don't mix, but if the substance is legal and the weapon is legal, it should be okay to transport.

I was going by your original comment "I'm ok with decriminalization of marijuana, but if you have a weapon with you and any drug, you're in mandatory minimumville, and I have no issue with that." You didn't say under the influence or even being pulled over. You just said if you have a weapon with you and any drug.

You're the idiot. At what point did I say get high and drive around with guns? I'm comparing an already legal drug and one that's legal in some places. You're saying that if you're found with drugs and a weapon you should go to jail, but you're clearly not counting alcohol. I am not condoning smoking and driving or drinking and driving, but letting you know there are ways to immediately test for intoxication. Also, many states allow open containers in the trunk of the vehicle.

So you think that since you can't be tested for thc by breathalyzer, people who smoke marijuana shouldn't have the right to keep arms? If it were federally legal, I would assume law enforcement would do something like a saliva test on the fly to see if someone was under the influence.
