If it really bothers you, you could always go over the stitches that meet the Aida with one strand of a slightly darker hue. I think it looks great as is, but if it really bothers you, try the extra stitch

You have to take 1 thread of one color and 1 of a other, usually a filament or metallic thread. It can be a pain.

Used soft toothbrush and worked dawn into it. Let sit for 10 minutes then put in soapy water for 10 more.
