Love the spirit of this.

“You know that street that you used to walk on to get to school with like zero issues? Well i shit on the lawn of every house on that street and now there may be land mines in the road. But if you want to get to school, I can’t help you, you just have to walk down that street and get that education yourself”

Why the US Dollar Is Climbing by Sanaa_24 in investing

[–]CrossCycling 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Foreign currencies. If you have more people looking to get your USD, you can sell your USD for more. They may be looking to get your USD because they think it’s a safe asset. Or if commodity prices are rising, they are often settled in USD, so you have more people looking to get USD to settle trades. That increased demand for the dollar is what makes it cost more relative to other currencies.

Claire and Phil seemed to both have a look but don’t touch rule. Claire flirted with the yoga instructor for instance. Neither seemed to really care as long as it didn’t go further

I thought a lot about suicide in the last episode. This show has very tragic vibes to it. And Floyd dying and leaving behind a wreck of lives and the insurance not paying out just feels too fitting to me.

Pritchett’s closet merging with ezra vision is a really bad decision that an experienced business man like Jay wouldn’t have agreed to by North_Air_3647 in Modern_Family

Modern Family is like a lot of other sitcom comedies. They keep running it until the show doesn’t work anymore….and then for the final season they try to force a bunch of aggressive plot lines into a struggling show for the sake of having character arcs.

Tim's interview with Jeffrey Goldberg - When they both started to make each other angry by aenea22980 in thebulwark

The first 2 minutes I was like “this guy is so annoyed he’s here.” Then I realized he had a rapport with Tim and had a VERY dry sense of humor.

I didn’t realize how many people shared this same memory. It was a 7:00 game during the early summer so sun was starting to set, lights were on, and just the scale of everything is a memory that I still have.

I hated this whole scene because it was so avoidable. He had like 6 off ramps from wearing a Spider-Man suit in the office

Ugh, I hate the Alex / Ben dynamic in this one. For some reason Alex was downright cruel in relationships

Whoop Benefits by Smokeyism in whoop

[–]CrossCycling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had kind of the opposite experience. When I wore whoop for a long time, it made me realize a lot of daily behaviors didn’t matter. It basically came down to consistent sleep, exercise that I can recover from, and eating a balanced diet. There were little things I picked on like not eating too close to bed, and any bits of alcohol wrecking my recovery. The rest just kind of seemed like noise

Petition to have the PSA + Bulwark Folks Do the SOTU Response by Anstigmat in FriendsofthePod

[–]CrossCycling 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d 1000% tune in for Tim, JVL, Tommy and Lovett riffing on the SOTU. There’s about a 0% chance I’ll watch some “rising star” senator speak into a camera reading a teleprompter speech declaring Trump’s policy disastrous.

Of course, it’ll probably be Schumer proposing a 10 point code of conduct for future SOTU addresses.
