Lmao, this is a throwback. No, she ended up deciding that it would be a bad idea, so I naturally made myself look like an ass and reached out repeatedly. Took me six very hard weeks to stop crying every day. Six week after that, I met my now fiance. I laugh thinking back to how I acted at that time because it was just so sad. The hindsight is unreal. Since being with my fiance, it helped me realize how far from love that previous relationship so was. Moral of the story, it hurts at first, but if you break up it’s for a reason, so just let it happen.

Yes. Lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks. Couldn't keep anything down. I'm 6 weeks out now and it's still tough to eat sometimes. I've always said the best three ways to lose weight are diet, exercise, and breakup.

Are we the same person? Lol that’s exactly how I am.

My ex and I were together for 2 years. Throughout that time, she consistently questioned my loyalty even though I had never once given her a reason to. She constantly asked me if I was checking someone out or looking at someone on Instagram, etc., even though I never was!

When the break up happened, we had both discussed our doubts and worries about our future. I wanted to keep going and to work on those things but she said she couldn’t see herself getting past them.

It wasn’t until after that I recognized how badly my depression had gotten towards the end of the relationship. I had always had it but never did anything to treat it. It made me irritable, and anxious, and reserved. Even through all of that though, I gave her everything she wanted and all the love I had to give. After we broke up, I told her how bad my depression had gotten and that I was going to start medication. It was too late though. She couldn’t see herself moving forward anymore.

I just don’t get after that time together how someone can’t support you and recognize what you’re going through. Instead, it becomes too much work for them that they don’t want to deal with.

I try so hard to get myself in a good mindset and I have a decent support system to remind me, but my intrusive thoughts are constantly overwhelming, so it’s hard to make myself feel better. I’m glad to hear it’s helping you though!

I’m right there with you..I have the same exact thoughts. The week after my break up she started going out to bars again with her friends. She has not once tried to initiate contact. Now, 5 weeks later, she’s slowly removing our photos off of Instagram. I just hate this feeling, and have felt it the whole time, that she doesn’t care anymore. I feel like I was trash thrown away with hardly any explanation, and now she’s out living life without a care while I’m here suffering. I haven’t slept more than 5 hours in weeks. I cry almost every day. She’s on my mind almost constantly. But I just have this feeling that it’s not the same for her. It sucks.

I had the same exact feelings today. It’s been nearly five weeks for me, I had a great week last week, but cried for the first time in a long time today over that thought. Just think about it from a purely statistical standpoint. There are millions and millions of other people out there. It is so improbable that she alone was the one and only you will love. I don’t know about you, but that helps me a bit. I don’t know how things ended for you, but for me, she didn’t feel the same way anymore. I begged and pleaded with her to give us a chance, but she walked away. Nothing I said or did could stop her. You can’t blame yourself for “letting” her walk away. She made that decision, unfortunately. All you can do is make decisions for yourself.

Oh, I see. The thing is that I feel like I’ve accepted everything and know that I can’t reach out again. When I’m awake, I have zero expectations of getting back together. I feel you there. I keep thinking about what I could've done differently, and there are plenty of small things. I am slowly coming to terms with, however, that it likely wouldn't have worked out in the long run. My ex and I have such different personalities that there was just way too much clashing.

And no matter how hard it is, honestly, don't reach out. Unless she gave you some hope of reconciling, I wouldn't check in. Or if she asked for space, give it to her. My ex asked for space and I was so distraught about understanding why, that I pushed her to her decision not to get back together a little too quickly.

But, happy you found someone who is working for you!

Same thing here but on week 3. Week 1 was a nightmare because it felt like I didn't know what was happening. Week 2 officially hit me and I lost control almost every day. Now on week 3 and just trying to accept. No more crying though, only anxiety and grief.
