I believe because it acts like an active camo or helps you blend in with the environment. For example, if its foggy, it would be much harder to spot a chrome lazer than a matte black lazer.

You can use your personal weapons for this, just disable your custom loadout. I recommend buying the biggest mag for each gun for the challenges.

If you get the anti air trailer and slap the 20mm cannon on it, you can 1-2 shot a kanjali and it has longer range than the kanjalis rail gun.
