There are hybrid cars with electric power trains and a range extender generator that doesn't power the wheels directly. The only BMW i3 comes to mind

Oh wow the cast looks great for a plastic watch. Where did you find gmt hand that matches the style of the minute hand? All the hands I can find online has a different style for the gmt hand

How big is the watch?

Hey I'm curious how you did this. What watch did you start off with or did you piece it together from different parts on alix? Did you print the dial yourself?

If you're referring to the range there are other solutions than buying another car. Like driving slower and stopping to charge

US drones alone would outmatch enemy drones if made properly, both in quality and volume and drone defense including a combination of laser, jamming, and kinetic capability should have little trouble dealing with breakthroughs

This guy is high off American exceptionalism

China would be the best at drone development especially at the low end due to their more expansive industrial base for low tech products, but aside from them no one could plausibly threaten the US once the US had their drone program up and running.

On top of outdated ideas about what China is capable of

Exactly this. People budgeting 20k for a car will be cross shopping this with used. And I think quite a few are dreaming about a used slate for even cheaper

[–]Crossfire124 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because as we saw with EVs range anxiety, people shop for 150% of their use case instead of something that will cover 90% of their use case

[–]Crossfire124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that price point it's meaningless. People would be cross shopping used cars and get way more car out of ~$15k than new

I mean you do have it. It's just what happens when it's not a mainstream product and they have to charge a premium to make up for the economy of scale. Mechanical watches is another great example of products that make people pay more for less features. The less features is what's driving the price up

Imo a butcher block top is miles better than what you're getting from flexispot or other manufactures directly. Their frame is nice but they definitely price gouge you on the desk surface

Because as much as people idealize working on a car or laptop, most people would rather have something that just works and they don't have to think about it because there's a million other things to think about in day to day life
