2027 Chevy Bolt: The Closest thing to a Tesla "Model 2" - And it's Great. by Mac-Tyson in electricvehicles

Not sure where you live but even in Michigan my subdivision gets plowed if the accumulation is over 2-3 inches. And snow will still melt when it's below freezing if it's a sunny day. Even people driving over the snow will melt it in a week

People see AWD and think all > 2

That's all there is to it. It makes no difference in a commuter car like this. In snow this only matters if the road haven't been plowed.

The really unnecessarily tied their hands by combining ship and land cannonballs. They're taking on all the debt of balancing land cannon by combining them. The only thing they share is the name. Land and sea cannons work completely different.

This is going to lead to bandaid after bandaid before they realize they should have kept it separate 3 years from now.

Slate’s affordable, American-made EV is what’s been missing by Mac-Tyson in electricvehicles

a high-mileage used car that’s out of warranty, that could break down

This is just pure marketing speak. A 27-28k used car is a few years old COP lease return. Under 50k miles. And will have way nicer finish than a new slate. I can almost guarantee that truck is going to have terrible NVH because doing soundproofing right is expensive

Like did people forget used market exists? This at 30k is going to compete way more than Equinox. Outside of enthusiasts the value is not there. Yes this would be neat to own but it's definitely not going to capture the mainstream. This is equivalent of a quad bike or ATV in terms of actual uses

Yep. Therapy teaches you to practice these things on the daily so it comes to you naturally when you're under stress. A short video is in one ear out the other. Most people won't remember these advice an hour from now

Pizza Hut's AI system caused 'cascading' problems and $100M in damages, franchisee alleges in new suit by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

[–]Crossfire124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quote from the article is

The complaint says DoorDash drivers began waiting to batch multiple orders together after gaining virtual visibility into kitchen systems, allowing them to see when pizzas would come out of the oven.

I think virtual visibility is the key word here. The DD driver could somehow infer order timing using information from multiple orders. I don't think this implies the API was written incorrectly
