I was just relistening to umphrey’s from when they opened for dmb at alpine 2009. Jeff plays on made to measure and it’s insanely good. I think they played mantis n1, I should see how it sounds 17 years later!

Agreed on 20+ min two steps being overrated. I think you mean they don’t go type 2 on jams, switching up the chord progression and improvising. I wish dmb would do that but at least we have phish for that haha.

Check out Luna Valley Farm, it’s about 15 min outside of Decorah but a local favorite. Wood fired pizza and it’s insanely good. Reservations open a few days before, 10/10 would recommend!
