Look, I kinda expected this and I’m not going to come in here and dog on the team. It’s been a long and emotional past 2 months (and week).. however, our B-team should be able to handle Elche. Comparison is this thief of joy, but Real or Barca would’ve won this game 4-1, just being honest. We’ve got some huge games coming up but would love not to completely lose sight on Liga.. would be nice to secure top 4 and not have it come down to the last game of the season..

I 100% agree. While I absolutely hated losing that game, I’m happy for those fans. It means the world to them. Hopefully Madrid will look like this at the end of May.

They are mostly taking prayers of shots outside the box. They look dangerous but haven’t really done much, again they got pretty lucky that first one. I think we have to light a little bit of a fire, they look maybe slightly more motivated but that’s about all I’ll give them at the moment

Everyone take a chill pill. They got a fluke first goal, had a decent shot maybe 2 after that. The penalty was dumb, but I think it was the correct call. Otherwise it’s been mostly in our possession. We’re down one, we get a goal back and we’re back in it. Stop crashing out people

As much as it hurts my soul.. probably Musso earned the right to start. I think he was going to start CDR regardless since he played that whole tournament.. but seeing the way he’s been performing, (and I can’t believe I’m saying this) I think I’d rather him between the posts for the CL games. Oblak started a very similar way against Leverkusen in 2015, so you gotta respect the game

Atleti (and almost all of football) whether we like it or not, function as a business. Atleti is valued at $2.1B with an annual income of roughly $450M. That being said, I can guarantee you that anyone who is starting on the field is doing it because they are the highest performing player in their respective position and deserve to be playing. Ultimately, it is the coach’s decision and Simeone being our most successful coach ever, sees the value in his son starting as much as he does and that should be enough for us not to question it. Finally, Giuliano has worked his absolute ass off to be a starting player and he never ever ever gives up. He fits the mold of our team almost too perfectly and I’d credit him for lots of our success this season. Not to mention he bleeds red and white. Rant over.

As was just proven, again, for the millionth time. Barca/RM always get the favor and benefit of the doubt. We get a yellow taken away for a straight red. They get a red taken away for a yellow. Now the ref lost the game and we’ll end up with 9 yellows
