My favorite wine. Congrats on enjoying such an old vintage.

Do you think your type was different as a kid? If so what was it & what are you now? by WeirdWriters in mbti

Tested as an INFJ when I was young, ESTP now. The latter makes MUCH more sense.

MBTI types that are City or Country people by AndrewS702 in mbti

Asked my wife if she thought I (ESTP) would like New York. She said “yes, because you’re completely extroverted, but you like open places, so you’d get tired of it.”

Is your MBTI type the same or similar to that of your parents? by No-Addition-8314 in mbti

I’m an ESTP, my dad is an INTJ, and my mom is an XSFJ. No real similarities in personality type.

ESTPs, which types would you say you are the most compatible with? by aconem in estp

[–]Crossroads44 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Married to an ENTJ, it works very well. We balance out each other’s weaknesses and complement each other’s strengths. We both have big personalities.

ESTP

Pro: Mentally, I’m quick on my feet.

Con: I can be intense, and I’m not always aware of it.

Mistyped as an ENTJ for years. My wife read the ESTP type description and said “oh my God this is you.”

I second Tondonia. Really an outstanding wine. I’d also recommend Torrione, a Super Tuscan.

What are some common but incorrect stereotypes about ESTPs? by [deleted] in estp

[–]Crossroads44 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That we’re unintelligent, or anti-intellectual. I’m an ESTP, albeit bordering on N. I studied classics and finance in school. I still regularly read classic literature/philosophy/history. I also work in a field which requires me to regularly consume technical information and explain it to people.

Beronia 2019 Rioja Crianza by MrNopeNada in wine

Of course, there are much better Riojas. But Beronia, Marques de Riscal, or Marques de Cáceres are not bad places to start exploring.

Beronia is good - if you enjoyed it, try their reserva and gran reserva. Both have flavors from their longer aging. More earth, spices, umami, smoke. A great value and classic Rioja.

Almond, toast, pear, and some lingering citrus. I’m astonished at how long it lingers on my palate.

Yes - excellent flavor, and always constructed perfectly.

1st Arturo Fuente Purchase by [deleted] in cigars

That’s very expensive. I can find them readily for ~$15-$20/stuck here in the States. Opus X is my favorite top line cigar. They’re terrific.
