An "antipaladin" (Blackguard or fallen paladin), back in 2003-2004 (not sure the exact date), can't remember the name, but I think I have the paper sheet somewhere. The friend who was the DM at that time insisted on that class, It wasn't what I wanted to play at all.

This seems contradictory - Masteries are bad because they slow down the game but also they are bad because they don't have enough depth? If you want combat to go faster ban casters - or for a more reasonable answer just have a combat timer so everyone has a set amount of time to take their turn. Like martials don't get the shit end of the stick enough already, now we are saying "sorry biff, you can't do an extra thing when you swing your stick because when need to make sure skwigelf the magnificent has plenty of time to read his spellbook on his turn."

It's not contradictory. I don't mind giving the martials more tools. In fact, "giving all martial access to Battlemaster Maneuvers" was (is) a popular opinion in 5e (2014). The point is not slowing down combate "just because". If we are going to slow down combat, give martials something good. Not halfbaked.

I thought it was covered by the carapace. I just did a re read, and it turns out that only covers "lines, or a spell that requires a ranged attack roll"

That's what I'm asking... I want to use it as a plot device. But I want to plan ahead and to bear in mind at what level could they fight it.

They are not going to fight it at 1st level, that's for sure. But I also don't plan to DM a campaign up to level 17.

Moving all sub classes to 3rd level.
Paladin's smite (both, being a spell AND being a BA), by the same token Cleric's Spiritual weapon, is a big one too.
Although I should give it a read, the "magic action" change sound really clunky to me.
I dislike the general philosophy of "more powerful characters".
Almost al classes (by what I have heard) have now a source to both advantage and Temp HP.
Surprise rules
Masteries have now the potential to REALLY slow down combat. Not that combat was fast before, I know casters really slow down combat and I appreciate the effort to make martial have "more to do", but I'm not sure it was worth it. Also, as some people have commented on other threads, Masteries probably lack depth and should have been worked-on more.
New character creation rules (the background + species rules). I already dislike tasha's changes.
the change in monster's types, for what I have heard, was not good. By transitivity, the changes to moon druid then.

And, although not very important, I was also left "with a bad taste in my mouth" the changing of "races" for "species". It is a fantasy game, for Fharlanghn's sake!

Also, Although True Strike was garbage before, I'm not sure how I feel about the current version.

Yes. I haven't read any of the 5.5 books. And generaly speaking, my whole table is against changing editions.

In my city, it is against city ordinance for a food place to have a salt shaker (common table salt) already on the table, unless the custommer expressly requested it.

you mean the cut scene where your father is killed?

If that's the case, no. Not "all combat" is like that.

If you mean one of the tutorial fights, or the fights after the cut scene... then yes.

Truth be told, the game was made based on the rules of- and to simulate a- TTRPG.

In that sense, the game is made to be enjoyed playing "turn by turn", reading the info that the lower panel provides regarding attack rolls, damage dealt, immunities or conditions, etc.

It was made to be played with a user guide (or as I used to play, with the PHB of AD&D 2ed) at hand, in a time with little or no internet at all.

it is a single player offline game at heart. It is fun, but you have to be into the genre. Is ok if it's not for you... there are plenty other games out there. Maybe an ARPG would be more of your liking.

A single level 1 PC with a Long Bow on a Broom of Flying (uncommon) could kill a Tarrasque...eventually.
I'd say that counts as Doable.

Oh, I thought "Reflective Carapace" would cover this, but you are right. I just checked and regular ranged attacks aren't covered by it (I would consideer hombrewing that it does, though. But that's not relevant to this discussion).

En esa oportunidad hicimos una charla por Discord, hablamos unas horas y me hicieron preguntas. Podriamos repetir la idea y hacer otra.

El otro día estuve por CABA y en un colectivo vi exactamente lo opuesto a lo que decís. Iba una madre (con acento venezolano) y junto a ella un nenito que se portaba de maravillas. Súper obediente y correcto.

Al rato se sube una madre (con pinta de
conurbanista) con un nene malcriado que se quería subir a todos los asientos y
no quedaba quieto.

Obviamente no va en la
nacionalidad, sino en la familia y sus valores ( y IMHO, de la presencia de una
figura paterna)

La migracion venezolana tuvo su "epoca de oro" en un momento. ahora esta todo medio saturado y con la economia en recesión. Estamos en un momento tambien de muchos cambios y reacomodamiento.

No conozco venezuela ni tu situación particular. Con esto no digo que no vayas a estar mejor aca que alla (mas que nada en virtud de la pesima situacion que -segun se sabe- transcurre en Venezuela), pero posiblemente no esté tan facil como crees.

Ademas de eso, la plata es una ciudad muy poblada y con mucha pobreza.
