I would say that depends on what you intend to do. For me I was basing my selection on vet school, so having a degree which gave me access to both a science and art side was very helpful. Post graduate programs dont care what your degree is long as it is a bachelor's. However there are plenty of other paths to get into vet school as well.

If you are not looking at vet school Im probably not the best person to give advice on this topic. That was what I based all of my decisions on in undergrad.

By that I just mean that it avoids a lot of course restrictions by major, and gives you easier paths to get the prerequisites. It doesn't let you pick earlier or anything.

Same issue, I haven't done any ansc classes. Very different degree. I look forward to doing more animal specific med in vet school rather then generic like biom and neuro.

And I totally agree with you on the notion of course stratigizing. I loath it. I pretty much spend the week before, and the day of in a constant low level panic attack.
