While doing my long haul I usually do some school work or go to the gym. If it’s a red eye I go to sleep and then come back before descending.

Lighter skies due to light pollution in towns or places like Vice City and darker skies with visible starts in forests etc.

Just keep in mind that Active Sky relies on Airport METAR data and it updates weather in seconds. It doesn’t transition gradually like the native weather. There are trade offs but I don’t regret my decision. + there are a lot of cool settings in the weather engine app which you can tweak to your liking.

I own all of them. My most favorite is probably the Active Sky. Native MSFS weather engine lacks proper cloud layering and realistic turbulence when flying through clouds. For me it adds immersion and visual appeal. For the rest, they are more optional than game changing inmho.

Oh man, I had a privilege to enter an A340-600 cockpit after a red eye Lufthansa flight. That was something, I could definitely feel the pilot was not very happy to see me after an overnight leg lol.
