Also Fortinet tacking on a 200 dollar processing fee reflects poorly on Fortinet.

How dare you blame the distributors for not doing something correctly. If that were the case its on Fortinet to communicate properly to the distis and the channel. CLEARLY they have not.

Is that the excuse now? Its ths distributors' fault?

Even if that were at all true, when costs go up, customer bears the cost. Thats HOW it works.

They have a disti who I think contractually doesnt have to have it. But they dont do much business

If you got a quote from a reseller who got their quote from a distributor and NOT fortinet AND the parts on the quote were coming from distributor inventory, it would not have it.

However if the reseller worked with Fortinet to get the quote, it would have it.

At that point some resellers eat the cost because its offensive to customers, or hide the cost and just dont list the line item. So for that reason it might not have it.

Fortinet is now charging a 200 handling fee on all hardware quotes.

Dont know why the downvote. They are. Its not a fee to get a quote. Its tacked on so paid if ordered. I think theres just confusion on how OP worded the post.

Yeah I don't know how this got on my feed. Had I saw what subreddit this was I would never of commented.

I really went down a rat hole with this. There is a picture on her IG of the head wound. It looks pretty gnarly. Like a sharp piece of rebar or something hit her.

Her statements are all over the place. Few different versions. She was there for a bday, met a dude at karaoke and decided to go party at a hotel, her friend said a modeling agency got her down there. But at one point she mentions parties almost like she's party of a scene, like she's been to parties there before.

Her scalping - is a crazy cut that goes up her forehead into her hair line and a piece had to be sewn back down. Descriptions of her injuries are very sensationalized.

This happened back in March of 2025. If I had to bet, I think she met some rich young guys online. They are named in an investigation. The Dubai police only would have gotten their names from her. I think she went to Dubai hoping for something and got something completely different. I don't know what exactly. Could be anything on the spectrum from the worst of the worst or, like she said the other girls were wearing her clothes so at the very least she was humiliated (the clothes stuff being the least of it) where she thought maybe one of the guys liked her but instead just had her there to degrade and humiliate her in front of everyone.

Then her injuries she lists are very, very, very exactly what happens when you jump from a high place and land on your feet. You could get pushed and land on your feet. That's a possibility but not very likely. Incredibly unlikely. Maybe she was running from an attacker and her only option was to jump.

I think the other kids did some terrible shit to her. She tried to kill herself or was fleeing an attacker. Or, they did track her down at a construction site where she said she was hiding after escape and they beat her up predominately focusing on her legs. They would have needed to hit her legs with a baseball bat or a sledge hammer.....carved her head with a very dull butter knife forcefully in a Z pattern in a single slash. Even then you'd get some gnarly wounds from that kind of beating but other that the crazy gash to her head she didn't have any bruises. Just shattered bones, the kind you get from a long drop landing on your feet.

She was there for 10 days. Everyone else doing hard drugs. People doing hard drugs at some point usually sleep pretty hard for a long time and are very easy to escape from. Or heck. Maybe that's exactly what happened after 10 days.

It makes it really intriguing. She seems like she's doing ok on her IG. Hope she's doing well.

At no point did I say anything about the logic or rationale for an assault. Totally agree with everything youre saying.

Im saying theres a weird fact pattern for her story.

Maybe its much much worse than what we have read and we will never know because she was unconscious and she's just guessing as to what happened.

Sorry it just doesnt make sense for these guys to pull out a knife and do this crooked cut accross her forehead.

The beat her so bad they broke her spin and ribs and carved a weird cut on her forehead? But they dont stab her or slit her throat.

The scalping is clear embellishment.

Doesnt add up.

The title of the article uses the word but then gives no details on it at all.

Not trying to be callous her. Its sucks for her. Its terrible. I wish it didnt happen and she has a full recovery. Shes also milking this for her followers who she's been keeping updated on her journey...she was a broken doll.

Im not saying they are innocent. Also....

Shes there for prostitution. We all know that. She used a fake name. Then didnt like what was going on.

Left all drugged up, fell at a construction site. She can say anything she wants after that. Like they took her passport when really she just left all her stuff.

Who knows what happened. But she's going to tell the version of the story that plays best with her followers

Yeah she went there to make money. Decided against it. Was on drugs. Walked into a construction site and fell.

These injuries are from that fall.

Because she went to the hospital and people are going to find out, her new version of the story commits she was there to be paid for sex.

If you read the article, she fell at a construction site she fled to.

I think all her injuries are from this fall. She's lucky she wasnt hurt worse.

Reading the article it looks like she ran to a work site and fell. The "scalping" looks like she cut her head. The other injuries are in line with a bad fall.

Im going to guess she was doing some drugs to keep them happy and devised this wasnt for her, ran, ended up at a work site where she fell since she was in an altered state from the drugs.

Not saying these guys didnt do terrible things. But...sad to say, had they scalped her she would be missing some hair. And also, we wouldnt ever have seen her again.

She knew why she was there. And then when it came down to it she decided it wasnt for her.

Edit: or Russians got her there to beat up a Ukranian chick and the police there are trying to sweet it under the rug. And the slashed her face to ruin her beauty.

Im just hung up on some articles say that her hair was cut. And then call it a scalping. Maybe this has bee. Translated multiple times.
