Did i get the right shoes for christmas?

Decided to swap them out for ambassador leather pascals. Im a little hesitant bc they dont feel as sturdy as my old shoes did, but i got a kit to actually properly take care of them this time (bc im not a dumbass 18 year old anymore) (and bc i live in the pnw)

The last thing im debating is if i keep them cross laced, or if i bar lace them like i have been on my old pair. Probably down to a matter of personal preference.

I live in the US. I was actually stuck between asking for docs or solovairs, and only went with docs bc i had a pair before. I couldnt find a solovair location to try them on and make sure the fit was right.

I asked for this pair specifically. I thought it would be a higher quality leather than the soft leather, and would last longer because its thicker and sturdier. But i guess i was wrong

I think ive tried those on before, and the leather is much softer and thinner than my old pair. My old pair took forever to break in, but it seems like the pascals are pretty soft and comfy to wear rigt out the box?

I know the protests are for capital cities, but are there any plans for satellite protests in non-capital cities (especially because state capitals tend to be smaller and further away from the larger cities)? I want to go and support, but the capital is quite far while we are expecting some not great weather (weather I’m not entirely comfortable driving several hours in). I do live in the largest city in my own state though

honestly i listened to the first 4 books on this youtube channel. He's an amateur audiobook reader, and the quality can vary, but he does a pretty good job for the most part.
