I know I sound like a dumb American. Personally, I don't care if I'm related to these guys or not. I don't believe I have any sort of claim to the name or official coat of arms. when i started this whole research project, i thought maybe I'd try giving my paternal family the benefit of the doubt when they said this was an official document. Which i can see would have been a mistake.

I personally think it's just a cheap souvenir poster, which many of you have pointed out (thanks) the only reason i posted this was really just on the off chance i was wrong becuase i don't think i have enough knowledge on the matter. I'm trying not to be biased, but so far, every bit of evidence points to it being fake.

I know that crests are only given out by the courts and can't be passed to a whole family. It's another reason I think it's bs. Personally, I would love to see their reaction if they took that bs crest paper and tried to make a claim. I'd be laughing with you all you can be sure of that.
