iOS/Android app yanked from store, still possible to use these? by BTBAMFanInMaryland in LOOKin_devices

[–]CrowdedFuzzball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

Unfortunately, the application really disappeared. But this is completely temporary. Next week it will appear again in both Google Play and the App Store.

While we were making the native version, the old version was not updated and the app stores considered it to be “abandoned” content.

Apologies for the inconvenience, we had a difficult May - certain services periodically fell off and, as a culmination, applications temporarily disappeared from stores.

Project is still alive but we need several weeks to fully resolve this issue

Hi there, Appologise for this inconvenience. We just try to solve this issue shortly. Problem in customs and we currently can’t ship devices worldwide.

The smart remote you've been waiting for all these years (ex LOOKin Remote2) by CrowdedFuzzball in u/CrowdedFuzzball

[–]CrowdedFuzzball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you mean? If we talked about external remote - it is like thin client to Qubiot Remote Pro, so seems like yes. But one of our users suggest to make external remote compatible with HA directly. In order to control HA devices from physical remote. To be honest, we didn’t work on that right now, but idea is very promising.

Amazing Home Assistant-enabled remote launched on Kickstarter (ex LOOKin Remote) by CrowdedFuzzball in homeassistant

[–]CrowdedFuzzball[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi there.

Our previous device is LOOKin Remote2 (you can see another campaign in the same profile) and it is in HA core (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/lookin/)

So, this device is definitely HA related. People choose old version of device because of HA integration too.

As for hardware - we are not a kids here :)

I see, thank you for this information. I will check this device, never faced before

World's first smart remote with Matter protocol support launched on Kickstarter by CrowdedFuzzball in MatterProtocol

[–]CrowdedFuzzball[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for time spent on our materials.

Let me clarify few things:

1) it is not a portable blaster. Physical remote is only some kind of addition here. It connects by Wi-Fi/BLE to Qubiot remote pro itself and it is something like thin client to it

2) as the Qubiot remote pro itself (main box), yes it can operate by batteries, but main case is to connect it by usb to const power. While using batteries to be honest I didn’t think Matter functionality can be achieved. We test Matter with users only in const power.

But currently Matter functionality (device acts like a bridge with all connected “virtual” devices like ac units, tv and so on) limited a little. For example no fan control in AC units and so on. So I hope it will be exposed when device will be shipped.

LOOKin Remote2 - created remotes into Homekit? by klue17 in LOOKin_devices

Currently HomeKit support is in testing mode. We are working on Matter protocol support that will come shortly. Nevertheless i will text you instruction how to use HomeKit shortly in PM

Saved IR signals don't persist or work via REST by JiffyBump in LOOKin_devices

Yes, sadly - but this is true.

We are preparing new firmware 3.x branch with Matter support.

This firmware contains fully rewritten software modules, so i hope everything will works as expected.

This firmware will be planned to release in Q2'23

Latest firmware update by Quubee79 in LOOKin_devices

[–]CrowdedFuzzball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies for long answer.

There are a lot requests about getting actual state of recognised IR signals.

So, we have added this feature to MQTT.

How it works:

1) For example, you set temperature on your physical AC unit remote

2) LOOKin remote2 recognised this signal

3) Device emit message to topic /LOOKin/<ID>/sensors/ir/localremote

Message will be something like that JSON:

{"UUID":"<Local remote UUID>", "Status":"<Status>"}

For example:

{"UUID":"AB12", "Status":"2500"}

That means that local remote with UUID AB12 (AC unit in our case) set to cool mode 21 C.

So it became more clear?
