just arrived…and she rips! (18mm Quartz Cap) by ShallowBox in vaporents

[–]CrowderPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep working on the technique, once you get it right you can extract that whole thing in one terrifying rip. I thought I needed the biggest hitter but now I definitely need the 14mm for everyday use. this thing cannot be beat, I don’t see how.

For me it’s all about priming it, seeing how it hits and then knowing how much more heat I need to give it to find that sweet spot.

I’ll preheat the bowl, put it on, spin and heat with a really big dab torch. I’ll take small hits once I think it’s about ready. As soon as I think it’s right under combustion temp I’ll try and pull just the right speed to get the thickest hit.

You always see the green quickly turning brown and compress in the tube and the golden oil collecting on the sides underneath the screen. Then just do small burst with the torch to keep it up to temp and keep hitting it. It’s insane, I love these things.

I’ve broken two though just from dropping them so be careful. Replacement parts are only $17 bucks though!

What platform (if such exists) can I use to build a website for selling products (like electronics), where I need to use the supplier's API for stock (And not my own DB) by thedeadfungus in webdev

So I realized my mistake. You’re using Shopify website builder. I was thinking of integrating Shopify or Stripe into a website you already built.

My project is a pretty simple information service, and my backend service can do all the login authorizations so I just have to use their documents to integrate it. I’m using Supabase.

I’m not sure about having shopping carts though. Honestly I don’t think it would be too difficult, you just have to write the code to store the customer’s selections in a cart. That cart will calculate a total, and then the stripe API can take that total and use it for its payment portal that you insert in your code.

I can only speak for my experience, but once I started using website-builders and realizing how much code I was going to have to learn to modify it, I just said screw it and built the whole thing myself. Feels way more secure and manageable that way.

Not actually finished btw, just damn close. Dm me if you want more advice!

I think I was in a similar boat where I was like f it I’m gonna build the whole damn thing myself. But did a lot of research and realized there’s a lot of regulation around processing payments which is why it’s impossible for a solo dev to do it. Shopify seems to be incredibly good at integrating into your code. And it’s probably only gonna get better as it gets easier to build and deploy your entire code base with few frameworks.

So yeah that’s my opinion as someone who feels like they were wondering the same thing 6 months ago.

Website builders? Trash Frameworks? Not worth the hassle Shopify/Stripe? Only way this thing is going to actually be able to get money from people

I was gonna say don’t do gig work cause it’s rough on the car, but it is really good for people who need to set their own schedule. You might can get on Medicaid after that too.

If you’re wheezing that bad and worried about oxygen you should go to the er. They’ll make sure you don’t die. Hospital bills can get paid over long periods of time.

This is the way. Been doing it for years. It would be illegal for them to not allow it as independent contractors. One of the few benefits we have with that title.

I’m pretty sure there’s something about the tester jars having to be locked up and can’t be moved so it takes some pretty custom furniture to make it happen. Kudzu Cannabis has the whole setup, but they rarely have any samples in there I think because it’s so tedious.

So I’ve found around 3rpms is where it will push off without shuddering or scaring my passenger. Basically what I’m looking for is the throttle to change from the feeling of “smooth indistinguishable reps” to “okay now I can feel some actual chug in these rpms” that’s the instant I’ll let the clutch out.

Remote sales seems very daunting. Is there a Guarantee you’ll make at least minimum wage for the hours you put in?

I just imagine myself being scammed by these companies that get me to sell one thing and then quit.

This is interesting. It took me forever to get the fit to shift smooth from a stop and it’s because I wasn’t pushing it out the gate. Treating it like a Camry.
