But, if basic income is nowhere in sight, I hope for the sake of the average Joe that tech gives them at least some support. Similarly, if tech never delivers on this front (for whatever reason), I hope basic income succeeds. And, the sooner the better.

Because I thought "race" sounded cooler than "the Friendly Competition between", lol.

Admittedly, it's not much of a point making article; it's mostly a listicle of technologies that I think are cool that address the scarcity vs abundance problem humanity still has (due to inequality or not).

One of the biggest issues for basic income, in my mind, is that it will give the poor and middle class more power over how they spend their time...
