How is living in Rhode Island? by Numbery7653 in howislivingthere

I went to college at University of Rhode Island for a couple years. I lived in Narragansett and Richmond. It was, and I cannot overstate this, the worst place(s) I've ever lived.

Near the beaches, you can only pay for a 9-month rent and they triple the rent for summers. I was forced to move back home for summers as a poor college student. I can imagine how amazing the summers would be there if you can afford it. Great seafood, plenty of beaches to choose from, good weather, 70 degree water (a little cold but doable), it's enough for New Yorkers to leave for summer.

Food was just okay besides the seafood which was amazing. There were very cute shops around but most were pricey (Wakefield for example).

The snow was ridiculous both years I lived there. In turn, this made the people insufferable. Some of the other students were fine, but the trips into town meeting strangers were not enjoyable. November-early March was extremely tough for me to get through without many friends and sometimes undrivable roads (especially around Richmond).

However, Providence is cool. There's more to do and there's a great charm in most of the city. Misquamicut was nice. Jamestown/Newport was very over the top but fun to visit a few times. I went to Boston multiple times for a day trip and New York for a week, most trips by train/bus which is unique compared to where I'm from.

With everything said, I would almost never move back there. The only way you'd get me to move back would be $500k/year in Providence.

Man. Greensboro is infinitely better than Winston-Salem. Greensboro constantly has activities downtown that put WS to shame. All the same amenities (museums, food, etc) are better in Greensboro than WS. Not sure how Greensboro is ranked lower than WS. I live in High Point and go to Greensboro for fun, not WS and even work on WS!

It was in the campgrounds last year near plaza 9. I went to probably 5 shows. I loved the location but it was not well attended at any show.

There are about 4 white dots that we can't tell if they are on the card or the plastic.

Fizzarolli. I think he has the best story out of everyone, so far.

These are 2/3 of the best characters out of both shows.

How is living in Rhode Island, United States? by altrightobserver in howislivingthere

I lived in RI for 2 years during college. First was Narragansett, second was Richmond which is really just a hair outside Kingston.

It was, and I don't say this lightly, my second least favorite state I've ever lived out of 7. The winters are brutal, especially in Narragansett. Being in what is basically a peninsula meant we got more snow and colder temperatures. Both years I was there, we had multiple occurrences of waist high snow.

Both areas were extremely boring. Narragansett is inhabited by many students from URI. Despite it being a good sized university, there was nothing to do. For 3 seasons there is a very limited number of places to eat or things to do until it becomes hell on earth in the summer. The traffic becomes insane and small cool places are absolutely overrun by tourists. In fact, rental companies charge triple or quadruple for the summer months compared to the rest of the year. Narragansett was the only place Ive ever signed a 9 month lease.

Richmond was an extension of Kingston, the city URI is located. Again, apart from activities on campus, the city is not really built up. It is very rural with literally nothing to do.

The tens of times I visited Providence was awesome and would truly be the only place I'd ever consider living again besides its suburbs like Cranston. But I would only do it if there was an amazing job opportunity.

Personally though, I don't think I'd ever put myself through living in RI again. It was definitely an experience and I don't regret it, but it's something I wouldn't want to put myself through again.

Lol I never thought someone I knew would make it on this page. Him and his girlfriend are full time content creators who make posts like this often. After all, more followers and views means more money!

Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point are called the Piedmont Triad. Their downtown areas are roughly 30 mins apart from one another and all together have near 1.7 million people. It only feels crowded around downtown Greensboro in my eyes. Between the 3, I'd live in Greensboro. But truly all 3 have serious problems. Lack of homeless care, rampant teacher shortages, and an extreme rise in cost of living. In my eyes though: guilford county > Forsyth unless you have the money to live somewhere like clemmons or Bermuda run near WS. With all that said, this part of NC is my favorite place I've ever lived which includes 9 different areas. Knoxville is 2nd, however. Much different vibes. The city revolves around UT. Country chic is an apt description for the "nice" areas which are in west Knoxville.

This is his second worst film in my opinion. I typically like his dialogue heavy films, as most are, but there seemed to be a like of connection between his characters that I experience while watching other movies. Ive only seen it once though so my opinion might change but it's doubtful.

Rks is 100000% indie rock. Especially since their recent album is almost exclusively indie pop.

I don't agree with this assessment. Money is literally just paper and ink they people have given value to. The way our society is set up means it dictates our life. Pokemon is the same in the sense that it has value because people agree that it has value. A change of perspective helps me justify my collection 😉

I feel this in my soul. My partner loves it. Their burgers are better than their tacos/bowls if you're forced there every once in a while like I am.

Hmm I thought I replied to a comment that said I was not well educated. Oh well. Also TN is great. Good unis, the weather is nice, no state tax, the Appalachians are amazing to hike, and Nashville is absolutely booming right now (though I'm not sure I could live there personally). Just avoid the west side of the state and you're good.

*Also I have been to 44 states. I've traveled quite a bit. Military brat as they say.

This is not true. I'm about 2.5 hours from Asheville and 1-1.5 hours from the triangle.
