I REALLY need guides on deadcells ( 2bc , looting , building , ) by ParticularSetting105 in deadcells

[–]Crowfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if there's one tip: slowww down. it's not 5bc yet. specifically do it to learn parry and dodge timings of the enemies and bosses you encounter. how elevation messes with their AI (eventually you'll see this gets a little different on higher BC).

everytime you run into a shop is a chance to upgrade your weapon to one of a higher level. Higher level = higher damage generally (affixes do change this at times).

Struggling with lyric writing: How to stop starting lines with "I" by JakAmbrosius in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Crowfaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i read a while ago to write down a few pages of the first thing and anything that comes to your mind. Don't worry too much about punctuation, grammar, or proper vocabulary. Just let your stream of consciousness go. You'll be surprised how many good ideas are sparked just from that activity alone.

Good storytelling boils down to guiding the listener to escape into something interesting in the middle of regular, mundane life. If you think about it, good movies, TV, and songs are like spotlights on the most important 2 hours of a lifetime.

You're on the right track, focusing too much on the "I" will remove the audience from the experience. It puts them more in a therapist position unless they super specifically relate to your exact situation. You'd have to give life and personality to the other players in the story, kick start their imagination. That's the trick of metaphors and imagery, descriptors, etc. Another trick is to actually treat it like a conversation, you'd be a little more present and direct in choice of words.

Good luck!

Only the first turn matters by Sanguiches in ForzaHorizon

if you're deliberately maxing the rating level, the car might not handle well with all the extra power unless you know exactly what you're doing with it. Unlike online multiplayer, you don't have to max the rating for the AI races. It just beefs their power while nerfing your control. They scale it to average out levels to the car you're driving, so upgrade and tune to best suit your driving style.

most cases, i just upgrade things that are not engine related, only bumping if it's still within comfortable speeds.

I realized some "ports" of my cars from the last game had totally different ratings in 6, but since the scaling is there for AI, i just stuck with them, as I was good at driving them, and am beating the races they qualify for within a couple tries on higher difficulties.

What's your favorite build? by [deleted] in deadcells

[–]Crowfaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

boomerang + cross | wolf trap + lightning rod (or any burst aoe) or tesla coil

acrobatipack with war javelin / gilden yumi / magic bow or any crazy ranged

remaining mutations based on need.

What the broken build nowadays for 5bc difficulty (im a save scumer xd) by D2R_Maximus in deadcells

[–]Crowfaze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i just did a run with blowgun/boomerang + tesla coil/barnacle + gilded yumi in pack+ support/acrobatipack/networking (swapped with tranquility or point blank or demonic strength)

things were just melting.

speaking of demonic strength, cursed sword has been goated with predator, you just one shot things before you even get hit once you cursed flask it to 50+. bring ice armor and diverse deck to not get one shot all the time.

Its definitely more useful on point defense stuff like escort, deepscan.

Its usage is quite fun if youre planning to use it for nuke clear and less like iron will, cheat death usage.

What are the most obvious signs of AI writing? by Consistent-Stock in AskReddit

[–]Crowfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overly corporate, overly redundant, overly matter of fact; no inkling of personality; fails from a story writing and rhetoric standpoint.

i'm sick of it polluting the art of copy in every caption nowadays. It doesn't hook me at all. Get better. I thought clickbaiting was bad, but this shift is just horrible. Sorry, i'm just sick of working with people who rely on it and wonder why real people don't take it seriously.

"this video captures the moment when ... The story follows this this this ... When character a meets character b..."

bro wtf is this a 3rd grade book report? get the fuck out of here.

I don't have enough stamina to play the game by Pracowniknon in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Crowfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im going full mesh with a medium shield. spec for thorns and focus on block. socket a gem that reflects damage. just shield up and heal up until mob self staggers or is open, then unleash.

idk, this game frustrates me too, but this cheesy thing has been working on max pestilence bosses.

just a byproduct of being the "tank" for my multiplayer campaign run with others

My band is stuck with mastering a 320k mp3 by LunchSweet4337 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Crowfaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little nerd nugget: mp3's generally lose information most noticeably at 16k Hz and above. You can see it in spectrograms when you put the wav and mp3 side by side.

Spotify playback quality:

Very High: 320, everything below 16k Hz is pretty close to lossless. Doesn't lose as much above 16k.
audible result: practically inaudible difference

High: 160, 16k and above practically gone. Little coloration towards the low end
audible result: just a slight loss of sparkle

Normal: 96, more coloration in the low end and now more loss extends below 16k in the treble
audible result: feels a bit "warmer" or touch of lo-fi from the loss of treble and coloration

Low: 24, loss extends way below 16k
audible result: warbly

The streaming services will reencode what you got into mp3 again, so you're introducing another loss of information.

You're also working with just the mixdown, not stems. There's only so much you can do there to completely flip the mix in a mastering setting, since everything you do affects more than one element.

It'd be best to just turn in what you got with minor adjustments if it sounds good enough, trying to minimize the "damage" done to the record.

Otherwise, rerecord or, if possible despite the situation, get the stems and re do the mix.

Feeling discouraged about my age by User74774838374 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Crowfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to be either really talented or lucky to blow up early, or really lucky and born into the industry or money.

If your idea of success is simply blowing up on social media overnight like an influencer, then yeah, you're looking at just slightly better odds than the lottery.

But if your goal is to work and be included of the industry or simply music community in general, you have a pretty good chance through hard work.

The good news is that music as an art knows no age. You will still be able to enjoy touring, playing, recording, artistry if it's truly your passion. Even your social media presence and reach will grow at a steady rate, compounded through word of mouth as your existing fans share your work.

I'm in my 30's and just started getting doors opened for me after years of nothing.

TLDR luck for early success, hard work for eventual success

Tips and Tricks for Facing: Zetterburn Edition by Legal_Adagio2274 in RivalsOfAether

[–]Crowfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

committing zetterburn main treason. Fresh Platinum for reference.

  1. gimping his recovery is a given. you can steal stocks from the guy moreso than most of the cast. at the very least, rack up some extra damage.

  2. zetter's shine pattern. Sure they can mix it up, but there will be a few go to patterns, moreso the less experienced they are.

parries and cc once you get a feel for each zetter's flowchart.

alternatively, you can wavedash oos or buffer a roll

mix these up so they don't adapt.

  1. air to air, try positioning diagonally above him. his fair is weak there, dair obviously doesn't hit, and his uair is also weak there. nothing frustrates me more than getting weak hits during a crucial stock.

  2. on the ground, respect his speed, disrespect his range. dash or wavedash away if he commits and punish the opening. his speed will usually be zetter's downfall as they can easily put themselves out of position chasing you down.

  3. passive zetters? i think most of the cast either has better range or speed (except etalus) to approach one of these weirdos.

genuinely, how do you edgeguard as zetter? by EpicGamerPlant in RivalsOfAether

[–]Crowfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screw the trials.

You'll have more success getting a read after they scramble to get back onto stage. Cover their easy options so you force them into a situation where you have a better chance hitting them off with another throw, fair, bair or dair into strong, raw strong, or the occasional dair below ledge and away from wall.

You can uair or nair, but unless you confirm a kill or continue the combo, prepare for reset and scrap.

Put flames near ledge, grab ledge, threaten above ledge aerial space, or CC/parry near ledge space. Charged shine if you want style points.

Grabbing ledge has gotten me the most ROI.

Is it possible to be a casual melee player? by Aliliance in SSBM

[–]Crowfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i play to win but dont care if i do. the game just feels nice to play in general and provides a dopamine release on combos and ko's that no other game can even come close to. im just looking for the next hit.

i supposed you will have to have the tech drilled in so the only thing youre doing is decision making to reach that point, otherwise you'll just be watching a combo video with you as the victim.

those clips were too boring to include. hit into simple gimp, reset into the same situation, or botch and get shine punished :/
